      The cable spring on our garage door opener broke, on December 29, 2022, **** called the company that originally installed the garage door opener, Maui Garage Doors, ***** to ask them to replace the cable spring. They had a technician in our area that day and he would ************** the garage door opener.That evening, at 5 pm on December 29, 2022, the Maui Garage Doors, ***** technician, *****, arrived at our house. He looked at our garage door opener and told us he had not been trained for our door opener. He said he did not know how to fix it and gave **** an invoice for $130.21 for a service call, but no work was completed. **** asked ***** if this Invoice amount is for replacing the spring when the part is received. ***** replied, yes.The next day, on December 30, 2022, ***** *** from Maui Garage Doors, ***** called to collect payment of $130.21. **** told her that we are waiting for the new cable spring to be received and installed. ***** said that the amount due was for a service call, but **** informed her that ***** said he did not know how to repair our garage door opener, no work was completed. ***** said she will research the spring replacement part. She also said that Maui Garage doors, ***** could install a new cable system for $1,330.54. **** told her that we would wait to hear from her about replacing the spring for our system. Later that same **************** received an email from ***** with an attached invoice for $130.21. Her email explained how they want to be paid. She stated that she is working on getting an estimate for replacing the spring on the door opener we have and will send that estimate once she gets it.On January 10, 2023, *********************** from Maui Garage Doors, ***** left a message on our answering machine. She asked if **** mailed them a check for $130.21 for the invoice for the service call on December 29, 2022. In the message, there was no mention of the replacement spring that the company was supposed to have ordered for our garage door opener. On that same **************** received an email with attached invoice copy from ***********************, explaining how the company wants to be paid. In this email, there was no mention of the replacement spring that the company was supposed to have ordered. That same **************** replied to ************************* email, informing her that no work was done on our garage door opener. He also requested that the company please stop requesting that we pay for service that was not rendered.On January 25, 2023, another similar message, asking for money, was received on our answering machine. Still no word about the replacement spring.We received another copy of the invoice for $130.21 that was mailed to us from Maui Garage Doors, ***** on January 26, 2023. There was no mention of the replacement spring.On February 13, 2023, *********************** left another message on our answering machine, requesting money. At about 2 pm, **** returned Melissas call. ******* said we owe them money because they need to pay the technician for his time and gas. **** told her that the technician did not know how to repair our door opener, so he left without servicing it. She threatened to send the bill to a collection agency. **** asked to speak with the owner. ******* said the owner is away and may be back Thursday. She said she will send her an email and let her know **** called. **** asked ******* if she received the email that **** sent to her on January 10, 2023. ******* said, yes, she just saw it now. ******* said, lets see what the owner says and we will take it from there. ******* did not mention the replacement spring that we are waiting to receive.On March 18, 2023, we received a letter from ************************* that was mailed from Maui Garage Doors on March 16, 2023. The letter threatens us with a collection agency again. The letter does not mention the replacement spring for our garage door opener.We do not believe that we owe Maui Garage Doors, ***** any money. They have not acted in good faith to order the replacement spring for our garage door opener and have not serviced our opener.
