    In October, 2024 an inspector from Bowman Termite and Pest Control told us we have termites and said that we could eliminate them by tenting our house. On December 12, 2024 Bowman Company cashed my check for half the contracted amount as a deposit to tent our house and treat for termites. I had submitted the contract with the check, but did not sign the addendum that they included because its wording would have left us with no recourse if anything went wrong. I called twice in December to find out when, or if, they were going to do the work. Both times they said they would check. In a follow up call, they said they probably had decided not to do it because the addendum wasn't signed. Two weeks ago, a more official sounding person said that they would send a check for the total amount. I still haven'[t received the check, I have called them a total of five times in the past two months. I would like help resolving this issue-refunding my $2751.83 deposit Note: We had a Terminex inspector come out and he explained to us how to tell that we have ants, not termites. We would have wasted over $5,400! I'm wondering if this is a common occurrence, since ***** Pest Management also said we have termites after a quick look at the evidence.

    Thank you for reaching out and providing us with the opportunity to respond to this matter. At Bowman Termite & Pest Management, we take customer satisfaction seriously and strive to ensure clear communication and timely resolutions.
    Regarding the complaint, here is our account of the situation:
    The customer, *****, had signed the contract for our services; however, the addendum to the contract was not signed, which is a required component to proceed with the job. Our office promptly informed ***** that both the contract and the addendum needed to be signed for service to be completed. Our sales representative contacted ***** multiple times to explain this requirement. Ultimately, ***** chose not to sign the necessary documents to finalize the agreement.
    As a result, our sales representative informed ***** that we would need to issue a refund for the payment that had been processed. He then notified our office via email on January 10, 2025, to request the refund. The request was submitted to our back office, which handles refunds. Unfortunately, the processing time for this refund has taken longer than expected. We acknowledge and regret this delay and are actively reviewing our internal protocols to prevent similar issues in the future.
    We want to assure both ***** and the BBB that the full refund of $2,751.83 has now been issued as of today. We sincerely apologize for the extended timeframe in processing this refund and appreciate Susans patience during this time. In regards to the ants and termites comment, we have sales representatives come out to meet with clients when termites is an issue. Per the information provided, two termite companies witnessed termite evidence and provided a proposal for resolution. I can not speak to the third who suggested that another service be conducted.
