    On June 2, 2025, I went in for an appt to change one fog light bulb and renew the safety check on my 2019 Honda civic. During over a 3hr wait, a service advisor told me that an oil leak was discovered. After questioning this leak further (since I wasn't experiencing any problems prior), I was told that I needed to replace my valve cover gasket. The service advisor assured me that he saw the leak and that I needed to resolve the problem sooner than later if not that day. It was at the time questionable if I would pass my safety check because of the leak. Also that I would need to leave the car overnight and would be eligible for a loaner. Furthermore, the replacement would cost me $1,300. I was very much willing to take care of the problem there however, leaving the car overnight did not work well for my schedule. I was also very reluctant in paying $1,300 after a little research on what should cost in the lower hundreds. I then contacted Honda Windward who has done every service since the purchasing of the car. The service provider there told me that it may cost approx $300 and that I also have extended warranty on my vehicle. I notified the service provider at Tony Honda that I made an appt to address the valve cover gasket at Honda Windward. I was then given my safety check (passed) and was able to leave with just paying for the fog light bulb and safety check service. On the morning of my appt at Honda Windward, no leaks of any kind was visible after thoroughly checking for 2 hours. They did however, help me with a simple recall that needed to be done. I wasn't charged anything because everything was fine with my car. Feeling very disappointed with Tony Honda, I went to speak to a supervisor. He was apologetic and explained that it could have been a mix up of cars that day and that they should have been better at explaining and showing me the problem. If indeed that was true, I still would not bring my car there again. I almost lost $1,300 from this "mix up".

    Hi Maka, its **** from Honda. I needed to text you to tell you that I was in a meeting with my manager and some of the exec's because they were reviewing the internal costs on my repair orders and noticed how much into the negative they have gone with the body repairs. So I just have to let you know that we can no longer work on your car, they understand that the damage has been done on property and we needed to repair the car but they no longer want us to have to pay for any more body repairs so they asked me to tell you that we cannot do anymore for the car and afford to pay for any reparations moving forward. just wanted you to hear it from me. thanks This is poor management beware when you take your car there I would always wash my car before and go over my car with my service advisor to check for scratches dents and dings. Almost every visit they would do some kind of damage which they admitted to and would fix it which is why I took it back to them now the car that I brought brand new from them that I take great care with (which they dont) now they dont want to service it cause their employees are careless. Beware when you take your car there make sure you check it before and after. This is not my fault and I should not be punished for wanting to take it to the dealership for proper care which everyone should believe that the dealership would take proper care of your car but not here at Tony Honda waipio. They just want your money for service who cares the damage that they do. I have dealt with the same service advisor from the beginning who has been great but the managers dont because they dont ever find out who is doing the damage and somehow discipline them so they just keep doing damage and hope the customer doesnt catch it cause once you drive away with your car now its no longer their problem.

    Dear Makamae Char, we have repaired dents, dings and scratches on your Accord 8 times over a course of 6yrs at a total cost of over $6,000, which Tony Honda absorbed.
    Sorry, we are no longer comfortable with servicing your Accord.

    Buyer beware. I went in to buy an Accord. They had one in stock with the advertised sale price of $30,075. The manager *** refused to honor the advertised price. He told me to read the fine print.. even though they advertise that price in big bold print they dont have to honor it. I told him that thats false advertising. He said it is not, they have different rules.
