    They told us that our insurance was in-network. Apparently when they submitted claims to the insurance company, the chiropractic office did not respond to requests for information from our insurance. Nearly a year later, the chiropractic office sent us a letter saying that we would be charged out of pocket for costs because the insurance did not cover it. When we checked with the insurance, they confirmed that it was the chiropractor's fault for not providing addition records and that they still could provide them to insurance. Over phone calls it became clear that Iowa Family Chiropractic does not keep adequate financial, accounting, and insurance information as they could not answer simple questions regarding our billing history and when bills were sent to us. They also had not responded to multiple letters from out insurance provider. I believe it may be wise if their finances and accounting practices are audited for the protection of patients.
