    I ordered a Vulcan portable lift to be able to load my husband's electric chair into our vehicle. The lift platform was not large enough to accommodate the folded chair. I requested an *** through email after reading their return policy online. After 2 days, I called and was told the item was an accessory and was not returnable. The lift and battery (that we didn't need but ordered after asking a *** specifically if we needed it, $289 extra) was $1400+. That is how senior citizens and disabled people are treated by this company.

    I'm an elderly woman in my 80's with heart problems. I am having shoulder surgery on May 17th. 1.On April 15, 2024, I paid $ ******* for a lift chair, Order # **** from Mobility Department, LLC.2.The chair was advertised as a reliable and safe product suitable for elderly individuals.3.However, upon delivery and installation, we immediately discovered major defects:oThe chair base leaned to the left making it impossible to remain seated any length of time oThe backrest collapsed into a fully reclining (laying) position when the foot rest was raised making it impossible to sit upright with the foot rest raised After installation, the chair stopped working completely. It is in the fully reclined position and will not move. The power light is on but the control button lights went off and I had to crawl out of the chair.4.These defects have significantly impacted my quality of life and safety within my place of residence.Liability: As the seller, *****************************, Owner and Manager, Mobility Department, LLC, is responsible for providing products that meet reasonable safety standards. The defects in the lift chair clearly indicate a failure to fulfill this obligation.Injuries: I have experienced physical discomfort, emotional distress, and anxiety due to the faulty chair. Additionally, Mobility Department wants me to pay additional expenses for returning the chair and providing a replacement.I have repeatedly asked the owner, ****************** for either of the following remedies:1. Repair of the chair prior to May 17th, the date of my shoulder surgery 2.A full refund of the purchase price ($ *******) within fifteen (15) business days from the date of this letter.3.A replacement lift chair that is free from defects and meets safety standards.As of today's date, May 8, 2024, ****************** has failed to comply with this request. I am now facing a surgery which requires the use of a recliner for recovery without a working recliner.
