I am a guarantor for my son's lease with Prairie Point apartments My son moved out of one unit in July and moved back in to a different unit the next month. It was a shared apartment that had other lessee's with individual assigned rooms with a common area. Prairie Point mailed a rental move out damage bill to two addresses. The first was one was not mailed to my home address that I have lived in for 16 years. They sent it to one I never provided them because I haven't lived there for 16 years. They got that address from my credit check. The second bill was sent to an address for an apartment on their property that my son didn't live in. In addition Prairie Point controls mail distribution and mailbox keys to the resident's mailboxes. So, we were never notified of a bill, nor were we given an itemized damage list. I have now been contacted by a collection agency that refuses to provide the bill because we didn't dispute the bill in 30 days from issue. I told them there's no way they can claim it was a legitimate attempt to contact me and I have a right to see the bill. They refused to provide the bill and told me to pay it. I contacted Prairie Point on March 2nd and spoke to the billing manager. I explained their problem and told them to provide a bill and itemized statement of damages. It is now 8 days later and they haven't sent me a bill. I was also called again today by the collection agency. I am a retired military officer. I pay my bills on time Period. Full stop. Telling me I don't pay my bills is in the top few things that will set me off. I take this negligent accusation of not paying my bill very seriously. Especially since I haven't been given that bill. I have the resources to pay the bill immediately, but I don't pay blank checks for something I have no proof of owing.

I am not sure what you need directly to be addressed but we are removing the charges from his account and taking him out of collections.

I am rejecting this response because:. The business has not provided remedy by fixing their false collections report against my credit report.
My credit score went down by 50 points effective April 5, 2023 due to their actions.  The harm caused by their negligent billing practices has not been repaired.

I want my credit report fixed by them sending corrections to credit reporting agencies.

I want it corrected by June 5, 2023.

    Sincerely,

I have removed ***************** from our collections account and cleared out his balance at Prairie Pointe. I believe I have done everything I can to have him removed. I reached out for contact via email a few days ago and have not received a response back yet.
