*************************** from KA Underground Utilities was contracted by Boone County to install new septic systems for rural customers through the Infrastructure Bill from the State of ****. ***** installed our septic system approximately a year ago and we watched him break our waterline in this process. He told my husband who witnessed this and he said he would fix the problem. As of August of 2024 this problem still hasnt been fixed despite efforts talking to ********************* and the county of *****. We have a mess in our backyard from this and it needs fixed at their expense. The damage is underground and our water bill has gone up considerably. We have talked to ***** about this and he has said he cant get the replacement parts any longer. This is his responsibility, not ours.

the state of iowa had a ***** program for outdated and failing septic systems which would pay 100%, ******* applied for the ***** and was approved i had the low bid so i was contacted by them to install the new system $16500 which the state deposited a check in there account and then they paid me. just like all the systems i done that year (78) we always call 811 for locates then we arrive at job we ask the customer about private utilities which they knew of none . we started or work and shortly cut a waterline, they went downstairs and shut water off, we exposed waterline and saw it was the old plastic that you can not buy parts to fix, so i cut a piece and went to try to find something ,5 hours i spent *****,logansport, ****, and desmoines. no luck. i brought some things from my shop that i had used in the past and told her husband this may work and it may not , we put it together it must of held for several months but then they called me and said it was leaking and wanted me to come meet with them so i did and told them the same thing all over again, THEY DO NOT MAKE PARTS TO FIX THAT KIND OF WATERLINE. SO THEY WERE GOING TO CALL THERE PLUMBER *********************,AKA ******* PLUMBING. *** told them the same thing i had been telling them, you cant fix it you need a new waterline. that was the last i heard till i got this letter. it is a private utility that contractors can not be held liable for. ive been doing this work for 50 years and every now and then this happens. but it is hard to justify me paying to put a new waterline in that is old and outdated.

thank you *************************** president of K.A.,S UNDERGROUND UTILITY INC.
