I vacated my unit January 31, 2022 and I have been trying since then to reach out to the management to no avail. I lived in this unit for 14 years and normal wear and tear should be expected with tenancy lasting that long. However the list of charges they have sent over is immense. I do admit fault for some wall damage beyond small nail holes and I spoke with the previous owner about that and will pay for those damages quoted at $50. They are trying to charge me $120 to replace the ************* *** states that the average life expectancy of rental carpet is 5-7 years, therefore one should assume it would need to be replaced after 14. They are charging me $300 to replace closet doors that were fully intact other than the poor design allowing them to come off their track frequently. They are charging me $86 for a broken shelf on the refrigerator door, and again the average lifespan of a rental refrigerator is 10 years. They also claim that they had to pull the toilet out and unclog it all the way to the main line because they found cat litter. I did not own a cat as I am allergic. Upon informing them of this instead of looking into it she said she could rerun the charges but that it would probably cost more money so "we should leave it as is" There was nothing that could be considered excessive property damage (outside of the wall damage spoken about previously) upon me vacating this unit. Only normal wear and tear. I am including for your reference Appendix 5D of the *** life expectancy chart. I also am being charged for cleaning things that I have provided photo proof that I cleaned. I have also been charged a "prorated garage fee" that the manager said she would remove and never did. These are just a few examples. This seems like something they commonly do to get people who don't know their rights to pay them more money.

I appreciate you being willing to listen and take my complaint seriously. I will accept the billing adjustments. However I would also like to note that I hope you have a conversation with your employees. The way they behave is extremely predatory. I was able to take my knowledge and bring this issue to you for resolution. Not everyone has the resources to do that. I would also like someone to reach out to me via email so we can discuss a payment plan to get things taken care of.
