****************** has had a bunch of bad luck lately it seems. This truck started off at a different shop before it came to me. To address the issues in his complaint, I will try to stay in order. He had a major engine component fail. The air compressor that bolts to the timing cover basically let go, breaking the timing cover and wrecking the cam and mating gears. This crack in the windshield could of been there before we even touched it. I test drove this vehicle several times and i don't recall seeing a crack but they start small. My question is, when did this crack show up? After the first repair or the second? His bumper is definitely our fault. I had told him we may have to have the tow truck come back out to move the truck for us. He really didn't want to pay another tow bill so i said we would try moving it. His brakes were froze up and we had a heck of time getting it in the shop and yes we did some damage to it, but we made it right and he was good with that fix.  We did nothing with any air conditioning work at all. The cam shaft gear labor, the oil pan *************** with oil filter are all part of the front cover, cam gear repair. There was metal in the bottom of the oil pan from the air compressor exploding so it was a good thing we did pull the pan to clean out the metal or the engine could have failed from the steel in the pan. The belt tensioner and belt were bad and couldn't be reused. The tensioner wouldn't move and the belt was cracked bad enough it wasn't worth putting it back on. I made that judgment call myself. The governor assembly should be replaced when replacing the air compressor. You just don't know if the old one will cause problems after this extent of damage and it was only $25. At the end of the day, me and ****** had a conversation about the bill including the extras and he was happy at that time and thanked me catching that stuff. He didn't have anything else to say at that point and he paid the bill. The date was 1/6/23 AT 8:30 AT NIGHT WHEN MY DAY WAS OVER AT 5:30. I stayed after hours and took care of him. The next time I heard from him was 1-7-23 about his bumper and I apologized for the mishap and he was to come in on Monday the 9th. When he showed up, he had brake problems. The left rear brake caliper line was rubbed through by the suspension. He said it's happened a couple times now and just wanted us to repair the line. After inspecting the line and caliper and him telling us it's happened a couple times, we started checking out the right caliper to see if there was a difference. He had installed the wrong caliper on the left side and that was causing the line to rub through.  We replaced that left caliper and line, then bled the brakes. After installing the tires and hub cap, my tech told ****************** there was a problem with either the lugs and studs or the wrong rims. The studs didn't stick out far enough. That's why the hub cap came **************** barely stick out to put the nut on. The threads were pulled and didn't hold because a nut needs ****************** to stay ************** should be flush with the stud or sticking out a little and that wasn't the case here. I had noted on his last ticket that it has the wrong rim on it. The relay, I have no idea what he is talking about. I asked for a picture of this relay and he sends me a picture of wires hanging down almost to to the ground. My tech wouldn't remove a part from a customers vehicle. We talked to ****** about the wires and tubes all over when he was here and he said it was for a hydrogen system and those wires up front went to a solenoid that had fallen off the truck. He said he had a new one coming. I find it very strange that he said we removed wires and relay but he isn't complaining about the cost of this relay? If we removed it he would of had to buy a new one or replace it. Then he wired it up himself and it's our fault he wired it wrong? It's the installers job to make sure the product is working properly and no one else. His running or derating problems have nothing to do with the job we did and if so he needs to provide the reason why he thinks so. At the end of the day, from what i gathered from my previous conversation with ****************** is having bad luck with his truck and is looking for someone to blame. The only thing I can admit to is maybe the hub cap. It's possible we should of just left it off or made him install it. Even though we marked it on the ticket it has the wrong rims on it. The first repair was billed out on the Jan 6th, 2023, the second was on Jan 11th, 2023 and I heard nothing, no complaints  until Jan 25th, 2023. That's 14 days without a word from him. It's not until the 25th that he sends me a message making complaints and accusing us of things. If there was a problem, it should have been talked about sooner like his bumper. He had contacted me the next day regarding his bumper and that's why I question his intentions this time and believe he is just looking for someone to blame. Thanks RJ!
