About ten days ago I received a email from Ticket to Work informing me that since Ive been apart or the program for many years that I have expenses that *** be covered. Those expenses included but not limited to uniforms, gas, car maintenance, medication and expenses while in school. I was told to find and submit paperwork and bills pertaining to all those I mentioned earlier. The bills can could go back as far as 3 years. I went and submitted almost 3 years of my copay from ********* Pharmacy as well as my ******** copays for A,B and D. I also sent the car repair bills as well as the insurance and registration. Because the bills I submitted was as old as three years I sent other information to help with determination. For example my 2018 Kia **** was in my name as well as my fiance name. To prove that; I sent the account information from the company who holds the loan with my name and VIN number. The car VIN number matched the car loan VIN number. The registration I sent also held the same information from the loan company and the **** The information from the auto repair company which was ******* and Auto Zone matched the information from the loan company, DMV and insurance. With all the information I submitted from as far as 3 years ago none of those expenses where covered because they stayed the car wasnt in my name which is false. I think that with the paperwork going back 3 years, I did a good job covering everything linking it together so that they wouldnt have a hard time. When I sent in over 2 years of copays for medical and medication costs, I printed them out and sent them in. I was sent a email showing the copays which most were $4.15 each. I can say that I have 5 medications that I pay for either every month or every three months at $4.15 each medication. When I received the card with the money on it the grand total came to $4.15. Thats correct with dozens of bills submitted they sent me a card with four dollars and fifteen cents in it.Business Response

We do apologize for the inconvenience and frustration that you may be experiencing but we are required to follow SSA's guidelines on what is acceptable for our program and what is not and we try to do our best to make sure that is explained at each step of the process.
During an appointment with us on 12/15/22 you added vehicle-related expenses to your list of work expenses and we had explained we would need a copy of your vehicle registration to reimburse any vehicle-related expenses outside of gas purchases. During those appointments we also review the receipt requirements that we are allowed to accept explaining that we need receipts that show a date of purchase, payment method, amount paid, and if possible, the merchant/vendor to be considered for potential reimbursement.
During the month that followed, you submitted a few receipts that met requirements and a few invoices that did not, to which we had replied explaining that we would need a copy of the paid receipts or a copy of the confirmation showing when the invoices had been paid, meeting the above requirements.Unfortunately, after we had explained that to you via email, you submitted the same documents with handwritten confirmation numbers on them. We had responded letting you know that we weren't able to accept those and explained again that we would need actual receipts or a copy/picture of the actual confirmation message that the items were paid, which should include date paid, payment method, amount paid, and merchant/vendor.
You had called us back the same day and stated that you were already in contact with a couple of the vendors to get receipts sent to you for those purchases which you would then submit to us.
It wasn't until you submitted an actual receipt for vehicle maintenance on 01/31/23 to which we responded reminding you that, as discussed during your appointment on 12/15/22, we would need you to submit a copy of your vehicle registration that matched the car listed in the maintenance receipt.
Additionally, it is our company policy to send you a confirmation of what was received when we receive it and include a note in each confirmation that it has been received and will be processed in a 2-5 week time frame (depending on what was received) so you know we got the items and a basic time frame for processing the information. In each update we send, we let you know we will be reviewing your eligibility for reimbursement, not that you are guaranteed to be reimbursed in a specific timeframe.
As a reminder, while our program may seem like a lengthy process, we do not charge for any of our services and we do not receive any remuneration at all until there are proven monthly earnings that meet or exceed the set levels for that year, submitted to SSA for approval along with an advance reimbursement made to you for an acceptable expense. If at that time, SSA approves the request, then we make the remainder of the funds available to you through additional reimbursements. At this time,we have received no funds at all on your behalf because the earnings levels have not yet been met.
Again, were sorry for the frustration you have been experiencing and hope you allow us to continue to provide services so we can try to obtain those reimbursement funds for you moving forward. Our program is voluntary though, so please feel free to contact us directly for assistance in being removed from our program if you no longer wish to participate.
We wish you the best of luck in your endeavors, whichever route forward you choose!
