Two Men and a Truck moved my belongings on 5/29/24. My 24" All-in-One desktop computer and second 24" monitor went missing during the move. Every time I contact the administrative staff I get the run around. They claim that they are looking into it. They reassure me that they will check into it and call me back with in 10 minutes but never call me back. When I call them back, they have a different story as to the whereabouts of these items. Initially I was told the drivers couldn't remember handling them at all and then was told that they recall loading them on to the truck but don't remember unloading them. It has been 5 days and my computer has not been located. I believe my computer was stolen or accidently delivered to a different customer's home. Yelp reviews support that the company has had issues in the past with high dollar items going missing/being stolen.

About a month ago, I contacted Two Men and a Truck to assist me with loading a trailer for an upcoming move. I was told the hourly rate for two men was $150 and received an email quote that displayed this information. During my conversations with Two Men and Truck and in written correspondence, at no point was it indicated that the $150 hourly rate begins when the men start their drive to your location. Today, June 24, 2022, Two Men and a Truck called me at 8:40am to say they were on their way and arrived at my home between 9:20-9:25am. The two men began moving my belonging at 9:38am and finished loading the trailer at 11:10am. From arrival until completion of loading was less than 2 hours. The company indicated they charge for a minimum of 2 hours. My **** should have been $300 (to account for the two hours of moving plus a $40 travel fee--total about $340).At billing I was shocked to see that my **** was $527.50. I asked the mover why and he stated that he started the clock at 8:40am when they called **** am reaching out to the BBB, because at no point when I called and spoke to the company, nor in any written correspondence was it ever stated that the hourly fee charged to customers would cover the drive to and from my location. What is the point of a having a travel fee and charging your hourly fee for all travel to and from my location? This is a case of hidden fees, poor communication, and an unconscionable contract to expect customers to pay an exorbitant hourly rate before the movers have even arrived/touched a piece of furniture (and to continue to pay the hourly rate for their return back to their location).Further, all communication with Two Men and Truck has been met with stonewalling and an insistence that this information was provided during the phone consult. There has been a lack of understanding as to the poor communication and to the absurdity of charging an hourly rate when you have done no work. What other industry operates this way?
