    I agree. My company chose them for Investments so I had part of my paycheck going in there. However my company and I parted ways for other reasons soon after. When I tried to get my money out Transamerica kept more than the IRS did of it. Ridiculous. Robbery if you ask me since they never did really anything for me. I would never use them for retirement investments. I like the comment about it zero star because that's what they deserve.

    Terrible. My mom(FA) had to call after THREE months for my money. They kept playing with her office girls like they didn't send a certain paper, when they faxed it like 3x. But they found it fast when my mom called & told them she was my FA & my mom. I see why they're affiliated with my old job. More like -5 stars lol

    A previous employer used them for a retirement program. Years later, I wanted to roll that money over into another IRA I already had. They made the process ridiculously difficult. Transactions that other firms let you do online. they make you print out form, get them notarized and snail mail them back. I've rolled 3 other retirement accounts into the same IRA, and none of the other financial institutions made me do that.
    I guess they figure if they make the process hard enough you'll just give up.

    Zero stars should be an option! Once they have your money, good luck getting it back. They will have you on hold for hours at a time with out ever speaking to human. This company has terrible customer service…DO NOT INVEST WITH TRANSAMERICA!!

    Transamerica apparently sold our account to a new company called Empower at the beginning of 2022. They sent one email about this, and I have exactly zero communication from Empower. Today I logged into my Transamerica 401k account to find that I had $0.00 and there was one record of it named "DISTRIBUTION - TERMINATION CLAIM". I had a heart attack. I thought someone had cashed out my entire retirement.
    Apparently, they are "transitioning" the money to Empower. Again, I have zero communication from Empower. I have no login information for where to see where my money was moved. I am hoping this all gets resolved quickly, but at this point there are likely thousands of people having similar heart attacks as they log in and see $0.00 balance. Transamerica had zero plan for this transition and it should be penalized for doing this to people with barely any warning. This is something that should have had emails, calls, confirmations, all kinds of steps to make sure people knew what was happening. Screw them.
