    Last year may 10th,2023 on our mothers birthday Wed lost her. We'd paid ***************?? $100 to have moms death date put on her headstone. To current date it has not been done. He avoids me by phone voice-mail and or texting. We even had to pay *** $260 to make our moms base bigger and add her ******* hooks permanently to her base. That did get done cuz me and my sister was right there. There are so many other people in the cemetery in ***** iowa whom hes to be adding death dates and still not done. I've had nothing but the run around with ***. Southside monument says he doesn't work for them but according to the website he's worked with them for 28 years. Our mom may have passed but she paid for everything and she's no different than anyone else. We will advocate for our mom as she can't. This is a big concern especially if *** takes cash money from people and doesn't forfill his job duties!!! His voice-mail is full he never answers his calls or texts. I was back to **** this may for 2 weeks, I did speak with ******** was gonna head to ******************* again another lie cuz if it was done I wouldn't be contacting you. I hope you check *************** out at **************. I can send receipts and pictures at a time I speak to someone.

    Hello, My name is *********************** & I am the owner of Southside Monument.  First & foremost I'd like to extend my sympothy to the Hermen family for the loose of their mother ****.  As for the matter of the complaint, I have done nothing wrong or out of the ordinary.  The final date was put on stone prior to this letter.  The business transaction or sale occured in late June of 2023 between ***********************/***** & myself for a new piece of cement and a resting date for her mom.  *************************** was there with ********************* at the time.  I completed the concrete work within 2 weeks & informed them that it might be awhile before I could complete the date.  I am a one person operation and I do all my own work and I do the orders in order as i receive them.  I had been to the cemetery previously to do the work but did not have the correct stencil with me and haddnt made it back.  As far as being in business for ********************************************* business for 28 years I do take such a matter like this very serious.  This is the first & hopefully last complaint I receive.  As far as ****************** trying to reach me, not once did any family member ever come to my place of business to inquire or voice a complaint.  Instead of coming directly to me about this matter they went around me to voice the complaint to the entire world of ******** and I found out about it from a friend of a friend.  The message was slander of myself & my business.  This sort of action is without a doubt harmful to my business & future business.  This complaint could have been avoided in so many other respectful ways rather than this.  I take alot of pride in what I do for a living for my work will last for lifetimes, therefor i do not rush, I avoid mistakes and I do very good work.  So for an action like this against me, it simply "wows" me that a customer would not take the time to come in to see me and would rather try to hurt my reputation of such a matter, and she wasnt really even my customer so to speak as the transaction occured between her sister ***** and I.  Im not sure there is any more I can do to satisfy this family for all the work that was contracted has been done & done with care & done right.  As for the slander they put on ******** about me i have asked them to remove it and it has not been taken down, so I will be forced to proceed it as a legal matter now.  This entire claim was un justified to take to this level.  My door is always open to the public, so I cant understand why the family has taken the route that they have.  Ive Known ***** for better than 20 years, I made the stone for her mom ****,  my transaction was between ***** & I on the work and not once did she voice a problem.  I consider ***** to be a sort of friend in ways, so it floors me that ****** her sister would take matters around me rather than to me on this.  Again *** very sorry for their loose and never once did i take advantage or try anything manipulative  in this business transaction.   I have completed the work to the best of my abilities.  ----*******
