  No stars is more like it...*****, took our money and had to pay Contractors for their mess *** and not on my remodel!! None of the money went on the supplies, cabinets or anything, he's a fraud and isn't even a construction guy .... he tore out our kitchen and can't find a contractor to do the job!! Then he went out of business!! I was pissed!!.... I had to get my appliances out of his back room before he screwed me again.... so I beat the back door down .. he answered it and told me he can't give money back because he had to pay contractor and payroll..... I told him it isn't my fault he had to pay the contractors for mistakes.. he said you'll be surprised when I get a job and pay you back!!! That's a joke...

  Lucas Herrick is a sneaky, slimy, FRAUD!! He stole so much money from customers and left them all high and dry. He shuttered the business and was gone with the wind. CROOK!!!

  NO STARS!!!!!!! Phone call from our designer in November 2022 and told the owner (Lucas Herrick) had "stuttered the place" and cut off all record and tech access for our designer. Then a second phone call that the owner had declared bankruptcy. Now without the completed design plans for a remodel of our home and lost $10,000.00 that Mr. Herrick insisted was to be paid up front. Lucas never called us to explain his situation. Was told by our designer that there are multiple clients that are in the middle of huge builds left holding the bag. Unbelievable, irresponsible, coward. Lucas always bragged about being the best and his visions. WEAZLE !!!!!!! Called BBB and was told they do not handle these situations and to contact the Iowa Attorney General. I am sure Mr. Herick will dust himself off and start somewhere else. Be sure to avoid his name in the construction business!!!

  Arrogant pompous management that over promises and severely under delivered. Does not pay contractors as promised and proceeds to pick apart work to avoid payment. Wont return calls and is completely unprofessional in front of customers. Read their responses in other reviews. They are cocky and show their lack of integrity. And. if they read my review- they will say I am not a customer of theirs they are right. And will encourage no one to be. Unfortunately the review from ******************* to this one is very accurate and they are good people who have been given the run around by a poorly managed and unethical management team.

  Avoid them like the plague. They started demolition of our bathroom in Aug of 2021 and it's not Aug of 2022 - and it's still not done. The quality of work has to be constantly monitored. The demolition left LOTS of nails in the driveway, even though they were only contending with one window. I know construction makes dust, but they made no effort to use drop clothes or clean up. They removed the vanity but didn't cap the tap pipes well. They just stuck a pan under it to catch the dripping, closed the door to the room and didn't tell us anything. If we hadn't gone in there that evening it would have overflowed. They put up backwalling for the tile, but they forgot to install insulation on both outside walls. They cut into their backboard work at the ceiling, drove a large panel truck full of blow insulation across the corner of my neighbors yard - creating a mud trench - and blew insulation in to the forgotten places. BUT they couldn't get it to go under the window. The first tile guy then came - dumped his waste in 3 spots in my backyard and neighbor's side yard. The job he did was so poor (buckling, uneven lines, grout cracking out), they had to come rip it out and start over. At least that meant they could properly insulate the walls. Then after 2nd tile job, they realize they roughed-in the wrong pipe ending for the tub spigot, and they had to cut into the stairway wall to get at it. On top of that, one of them that was here to do the cutting / do this fix BROKE the spigot - of course saying it was defective to begin with (possible granted) - AND he broke the wood threshold to the bathroom - the one that matches the floor in the hall there. We're on our 3rd "project leader". The guy we sat down with in the beginning at Modern Touches (the head-honcho at Modern Touches) won't return my emails.
