Gaps in siding installed over garage door. Improperly installed siding over a front casement window preventing the window from being opened. Leaky porch roof caused by workman walking on fiberglass roof and nailing siding into wall with nails protruding causing leaks. Loss of TV and internet services, repaired by Mediacom for which we were billed $49.00.
We contacted Darin Davis and he refused to come back and look at what needed to be addressed. We then contacted our lawyer who submitted a letter to New Face Renovations LLC c/o Darin Davis. Our lawyer then followed up with a phone call to Darin Davis who refused to admit/accept any responsibility for the work issues of his employees. Our lawyer has not heard anything further and we believe he has forgotten to follow up on this matter so we decided to take the step forward in contacting BBB. We have two estimates for corrective repairs totaling $3441.73

Sorry for the delayed reply to
this issue.  This email address isn’t
    monitored daily.

    The Myers’ attorney contacted
Ryan Young, and they discussed these items in detail. Below are the customer’s listed
complaints along with Ryan Young’s statements to each.

Complaint: Gaps in siding installed over garage door.
    Statement
: The siding that was installed
is vinyl siding, gaps are intentionally left in order for the product to expand
and contract, this will not allow any water infiltration.

Complaint: Improperly installed siding over a front
casement window preventing the window from being opened.
Statement: Front window is not opening is due to age of
window and exterior hinge.  The window
was trimmed in aluminum coil to make the front appearance look new. The
homeowner was made aware that this installation method may prohibit the window
from opening at the time of siding installation.  They were given the opportunity to purchase
replacement window at cost. The homeowner declined, stating that they do not
open their windows that much anyways.

Complaint: Leaky porch roof caused by workman walking on
fiberglass roof and nailing siding into wall with nails protruding causing
    leaks.
Statement: The roof was old and brittle, and had
prior leakage before any work was done.
The siding crew did not stand on the roof, they installed the siding
using precautionary measures to protect the already damaged and leaking porch
    roof.

Complaint: Loss of TV and internet services, repaired by
Mediacom for which we were billed $49.00.
Statement: The homeowner was aware that the satellite
dish needed to be removed in order for the siding to be installed. After doing
so the brittle wires came loose which resulted in a service call to their dish
provider.  Our contracts state we are not
    responsible for issues as such.

    At the conclusion of Ryan’s
conversation, the Myers’ attorney agreed that this would no longer be an issue.
New Face Renovations is done communicating with the homeowner.  Completion certificates were signed by the Myers
upon the completion of the job, and the customer paid in full.  These complaints came months after the job
    was completed.

I am rejecting this response because:

The trim on the upper garage door is warped and not in a continuous straight line.

Our TV/internet service is thru cable, not a dish. We have had this service approx. 4 years so the cable which was cut is not old nor brittle.

The trim around the window was not cut or nailed down in one corner, thus preventing the window from opening. Who doesn't want to open their windows when the weather is nice? (This is the only window we have a problem opening and we HAVE opened it in the past prior to the siding job.)

The siding along the exterior alongside our enclosed patio was nailed with the nails protruding into the interior of the patio and there wasn't any barrier installed to prevent rain or snow melt off from leaking in.

    Sincerely,

    Michael And Tracey Myers
