Went to Dr. Rensch in March of last year to see about getting a loose Bridge replaced. He is a "In-Network provider" with my insurance. He got a pre-estimate approval and his **** office lady (Mindy) told me my share would be ******* got the Bridge work done on August 8th and he added a code to the claim that made it error out. (He and his office girl Mindy have been doing this for 20 to 30 years so I bet this wasn't his first error with same code) They wouldn't help me clear their mistake because--he got to charge me out of network price --******* more! Mindy doesn't let you talk to anyone but her, wouldn’t help me clear the error and when I did clear it with my insurance she was excited to tell me that it didn’t mean anything because I would still need to pay the extra ******* even with the error they caused. Why? she said "because we can" very **************. She said "this happens all the time"! I bet it does Im reporting it anywhere and everywhere while I pay the extra ****

Due to HIPPA regulations I will not be using this patients name in this response. The basic problem in this case is that the patient does not agree with  her dental insurance coverage and has decided to use her frustration to refuse payment for dental work that has been completed and she is happy with while sending our office ***** dollars per month. There were absolutely NO fraudulent billing practices and all dental codes were legitimate and correct. Even *** **** Dental Insurance has told her there is nothing more to do with this claim.

I was told I would be paying ******* I was never advised or signed a good faith estimate before being charged *******. My dentist got a pretreatment approval then purposely added a code that made an error so it was denied.

He corrected the Dental code 2 weeks later and billed it separately so that it was paid.

Thats Bundling and Unbundling and its illegal.

He also violated the no Surprise billing law.

He told me the pretreat was approved and my share would be ******* never showed me that it was possible I would have to pay ******* more. Never had me sign as required, a Good faith estimate.

I have already paid the agreed upon amount+ approximately *******

My dentist is saying I have to pay ******* I am sending ***** a month now on the additional *******

My Dentist is ********** and is using the No capping dental legislation in **** to get paid an additional ******* in this case, and Im sure they have and will do this to other patients.

******* is ********** in allowing this to happen. They wouldn't correct the error until the end of the year when my Maximum amount of ******* was met. This allowed my dentist to bill ******* more.

    Per ADA

“Remember, the treating dentist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of claims and should always conduct claim form reviews before claims are submitted,” he said. “The state dental boards and courts of law will look at the license of the providing dentist — and not a dental team member — when examining a case of [a potentially] fraudulent dental benefit claim. Keeping your head in the sand will not allow this problem to disappear.”
