    I was set to rent an apartment from riverbend, however had personal issues arise and decided I wouldn’t be able to move in. In this time I had given the leasing office $*** of my own money as well as $*** from ********** towards my deposit. Last Friday my sister and I went to the office and let them know I would not be moving in and would need my deposit money back, at this time she informed me it was a 72 hour policy meaning she could not refund the money, however she’d reach out and verify and get back to me on Monday, so we go today (Monday) and asked her to see paperwork that is legally binding and the only paperwork I signed was the application paperwork, the 72 hour policy was on the paperwork however it was never mentioned during discussion, nor was it signed or initialed. In addition the leasing office refunded the $*** to **********- however still said she could not return the rest despite having no legally binding paperwork. When we asked to see it we were also cussed at and kicked out of the office.

    Applications for renters include that all deposits submitted are nonrefundable after 72 hours. Posted in Riverbend offices is ******* ******* City Ordinance 8.20.050 regarding disorderly conduct in a place of business; the person accompanying the named in complaint was disorderly and asked to leave the office and property immediately.
