    The price of the room was supposed to be $57.12. They kept ir. My room had a leak and soaked the carpet by sink. It caused the room to smell and I had to wear shoes. I also got eaten alive by bedbugs. I want my deposit back.

    Sorry for the inconvenience at our motel. Because of the inconvenience we changed the guest into the different room. They stayed full night and checked out which is there will be no refund.

    I am rejecting this response because: 

    They did not switch my room.  The girl asked me if I was checking out that day and I said yes.  That was it.  I disputed the deposit with my bank and they refused me my 100 dollar deposit. I also have video where you ca. Here the water behind the wall.  Not sure if it was pipe or roof leak.  It rained that night.   The bed bug bites where bad.  Probably should report to health department

    I stayed one night (Fri, 24 Mar 2023) at Super 8 in Davenport, IA, during several weeks of traveling. I did not make a reservation as I did not know how much I would be driving that day. At about 7:00 pm, I attempted to take a shower, but there was no hot water. I called the front desk, and their response was to wait a while and try again, which I found concerning. I did so at about 9:30 pm, but as expected, no hot water. I called again and they acted surprised, but also that they had called the manager and were trying to locate a maintenance person soon. Needless to say, I did not shower, and there was no hot water the next morning. I had been doing a lot of physical work for the first half of that day and definitely needed a shower. I filed a complaint online with Super 8 that night. When I checked out early that morning, I asked for a full refund because 1) there was no hot water, 2) the toilet did not flush, and 3) the bed was in terrible shape and sloped to one side. The front desk made a note to pass along to their manager. I also noticed that the swimming pool was closed and asked how long that has been the case. They would not initially answer, so I kept asking, It had been closed for years. After some discussion, I realized that they had not asked for my phone number to provide to the manager, which I noted to them and provided. When I asked for my receipt, they provided what seemed to be a quote instead, and I had to explain to them in detail that this was not a receipt. Then they provided me a receipt and acted as if I was requesting something very unusual. Both documents are attached. They took my number, but the manager never called. I also never received a response from my online complaint and request for a refund through their customer service web page. Clearly, maintenance at this hotel is a major issue. All I want is a full refund of my charge for that night, which I believe is $78.35, based on Invoice #***-996865.

    Thank you for staying at the Super 8 Davenport. I am very sorry that your stay did not live up to your expectations. We take great pride in our hotel & its amenities, and we feel badly when we fall short in the eyes of our guests

    I would also like to thank you for bringing this issue to my attention. We have emergency breakdown, we called the proper person on that time and resolved that morning itself. You stayed all the night so its not possible to refund your money back and *** very sorry for that, We have already met with the staff members involved to discuss the specifics of this case and the topic of how we can avoid this in the future will be a topic covered in our next staff meeting. I am extremely confident that you will find this to be the case during your next stay.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    This is not a satisfactory response. There was a snowstorm that evening, I was pulling a large trailer, and securing a room at another hotel was not realistic at 10:00 pm. Further, I was assured that the hotel manager would be contacting me. That never happened, which did not surprise me.

    Given the refusal of the hotel manager to fully refund my cost that night, which I believe to be quite reasonable, I will contact Wyndham directly, and I will post online reviews accordingly.

    So me and my sister and nephew went to the misissippi valley fair and she booked a room at this hotel cuz it advertise a heated pool and offered a late check out and check out. Upon checking it in they informed ud that pool was closed due to covid even though they clearly had the heated pool advertised on the billboard and the govenor of iowa lifted all restrictions for the covid in 2021 so pool shouldnt of been closed for that we decided we would stay cause was super late for concert and we would check about finding something elze to do during day upon checking in to the room there was no batteries in the remote the phone book was destroyed and smoke dector was going off there was no soap or shampoo in bathroom and thr ac didnt work. Upon getting up for bfast there was no food out and front desk said there be no bfast today due they hadnt had time to go to the store to get the items. We ask the front desk for a refund and they said no because if we wanted refund we needed to do it before we spent the night and i told him that if we had known u didnt have bfast we wouldnt of stayed all he said was sorry the room was booked under my sister name *********************** ************** aug 2nd thru 3
