I have emailed, messaged the ******** page, & have called (by the time I get home I have an hour before they close once weekly). I cannot get a reasonable answer from them for my question. I want to know why they will not pay for substance use counseling services by an IADC with ****************************************************************************************************************************************************** ****. Its limiting client choice while pretending they are not. How is this moral, ethical, or good client care. If a provider has an IADC & over 5 years of experience they should be made to pay.

They constantly make it a struggle for you to get what you need. I mostly end up paying out of pocket and good luck getting them to reimburse something that they should have paid for in the first place. If you have a choice avoid them at all cost. But since we live in a country with the worst healthcare system in the world I doubt you have much of a choice.Wellmark/Blue Cross Blue Shield of Iowa

Member has not contacted Wellmark since May 2023. Multiple unsuccessful attempts were made to reach the member to discuss the review. A letter was sent to the member on 11/30/2023 advising if further discussion is wanted to please contact Wellmark. The letter also including a claims history report which results in no member responsibility.
Wellmark does not approve comment due to validity of review.
