My twin daughters took two horseback riding summer camps from ***********************. She advertises to all the parents and on her ******** page that she is having a "special" on lessons that if you pay "$250" you get 7 lessons for a "savings" of 100. At this point, my girls were enjoying the camp so I verified that Chase would provide lessons on the weekends-she verified she would. I Venmoed her this $500 on June 13th. I never signed a contract or anything else with her "policies" on these lessons. I just paid. Unfortunately, ***** never offered lessons during weekends as I requested and when she did offer, she did so at last minute and they were either during school hours or later evenings. I communicated my preferences again for weekend hours as I work full time as well. My daughter then fell and severely sprained her wrist and injured her hip. The doctor said no riding for several months. I requested ***** give me a refund for the services since they were never provided. She responded that she only offered "exchanges" for lessons and suggested my daughter attend a scavenger ****. I explained that I wasnt sure when she could ride again and I wanted a refund as 500$ was a lot of money and it had already been difficult to schedule lessons. She has refused and has written me several responses that she would be unable to hold the Christmas party for children in need due to my request. She then stated that perhaps she could arrange a "go fund me" for my family since we are in need. I simply want a refund for services that have not been rendered. I did not sign any contract indicating an "exchange" was the only option. Honestly, if she had given me this contract, I would not have pursued it as this "exchange policy" seems so nebulous. I believe that her not refunding my money is an unethical practice and unfair business practice. I have messaged her several times to no avail.
