Before covid hit we bought a transmission from them and had them put it in for us. It never worked so he said they would fix it. Then covid hit and he didn't have workers to fix it. We were fine waiting however he eventually sent a title request to take over ownership of the vehicle citing it was abandoned. My dad went to talk to him about it and they agreed he could take title to crush it but he would give us store credit for everything we had paid him which was around $2000. Since then he refuses to allow us to use the credit and has wanted cash instead. I no longer trust him at all and want to be refunded since he will not allow us to use the agreed upon credit. I am also wondering if it is possible to look up the explorers Vin and see if he finally fixed it once he got the title and sold it to make more profit. The last time we dealt with him was in the last month when he refused to let us use the credit for a rear end for another truck we recently obtained. It has been years of trying to work with the man and we have gotten nowhere so would appreciate your assistance in getting this resolved. If you need more specific information please let me know and thank you.

customer had us install used transmaission, month and half later brought in and had us scan it for for codes , had a solenoid code and was told to leave it and not drive it. customer returns couple months later with a burned up transmisssion and expected us to replace his transmission for free. customer understood anything we did was gonna cost him and the most we could do is keep as cheap as possible. we do offer 30 day warantys on parts but not labor and will reject any warranty claim if theres is neglegence on behalf of costomer(as in driving something that shouldnt be driven if it will cause harm to said part like driving a car with no oil in it for instance or damage caused by installation). so to get to the complaint itself - 1. this happened way before the pandemic my taxes go back 7 years and i didnt find the reciept in any of these years so if that could be furnished id like to see the date cause im pretty sure is was closer to 2015.  2. i previde a 30 day warranty on part and thats it !!!! 3. customer was givin ample time to figure out what he wanted to do with vehicle and then never responded when contacted and an abandonment was done which he got a letter for and finally the response was keep it he couldnt find title. 4. customer vehicle was an *********************************************************************************************************************** cause it was falling out and this is the only reason we can remember the details cause our employees didnt even want to touch it. so did we fix it up and resale it no went to the crusher because he wasnt messing with it anymore either. costomer is only trying to get a free part out of us which we didnt have and wanted us to buy at the tune of 500$ and that isnt gonna happen. 5. costomer is lucky he didnt cause damage to any vehicles when he drove out of here cause instead of a coplaint we would be filing charges.

I am rejecting this response because:

We took it back in within first week of getting it back.  He never told us not to drive it.  When he ran the code and it came back solenoid he told us he would let us know when he found one to fix it so we could bring it back.  I deliver rural mail so I have back up vehicles it was parked and not used for about a month with no call from Jones to let us know he was ready for us to bring it back up.  I decided to take it up anyway hoping it would speed him up.  Now im thinking he had us bring it back and wait for call so he could say it was past the 30 days.  It makes no sense for me to just abandon it up there unless it had been stated he was going to fix the problem.  We also junked a couple vehicles with him and gave him old rims that had been wobbled out so he could junk them.  Would not have done that unless we had an understanding already.   When we asked him for a new rim for one of jeeps he ended up giving us one of the wobbled ones we had given him a month before which is when I started getting worried he was just ripping me off.  I looked up his reviews on ****** and there are others who have run into the same issue with Jones.  We were calling him about once every month or two during entire event.  If he had really stated what he has put in response I would have filed this a long time ago.  I attached a few screenshots of people who were also told one thing only to find out later Jones had lied to them. I did this to show I am not the one making things up.

    Sincerely,
