I went to remote start and stereo of Dubuque on 2-28-24 for estimate to replace radio unit in 2010 Town and Country and was given a written estimate of $350 to replace with exact unit which owner *********************** said would be the cheapest and easiest fix. I agreed and and waited for him to locate such radio which he said he had many sources online to find one. He called back a week later and said it would cost another $100 more because these radios are more expensive. I agreed to this and i did look online and this radio unit which is a ***** unit are more expensive. so when he did get the radio in he called me to have installed and i dropped off van only to get a call later in the day saying the radio doesn't work but he could put in another radio from a newer van that would work, he did say the navigation would not work but that was ok with me because i don't use it. When we picked up the van the radio did work and also the back-up camera worked but i noticed the Uconnect that connects your phone to the speakers was not working. When i called and asked him about this he said that you have to have another part that came with the exact radio from the exact car. I thought this didn't sound correct so I called local Chrysler dealer and they said that my van has the Uconnect in the radio and it will only work with that exact radio which was the ***** which we originally agreed to. The owner never told me that the Uconncet would not work and he as a "expert" should have know this and advised me about this instead he started yelling at me that I never asked that the Uconnect should work and that I should take it to the dealer if I didn't like it. He refused to replace unless i paid more money to him and he also said he paid $400 for the unit he put in but failed to show any proof. I looked up the radio unit he put in and it is substantially cheaper by $200 on any online parts source. He continued to yell and could be heard by my son who was outside the building. This man is dishonest and cheats customers with his bait and switch scheme. I would like to settle this with a him issuing a $100 refund which is fair to both parties. If not this will cost him much more in small claims court.

**** called and asked if we repaired Reverse Cameras. I said Yes, Bring it in. He Brought the van to my shop and I inspected the Camera. I noticed the ***** was the problem not the Camera. I asked what his budget was and he implied that he didn't want to spend much money to Replace the ***** "by the book" with new parts. I offered to order a ****** ***** from a Salvage Yard to make his Reverse Camera function. I explained it was a low-cost alternative to buying a Brand-New replacement *****. I explained it would be used and would not have a Warranty, but it would function. I asked for a down payment to get the parts ordered. When they arrived, we installed the ***** and unfortunately it did not function. We offered to return this defective ***** and order another one. Again,it was used, and the only model we could find was an alternative to the correct model. We explained the differences and what was going to work once completed. At the time **** was only concerned with the Reverse Camera so it didn't seem like an issue. He OK'd the purchase of the second ***** which was a little more expensive. He agreed to pay the difference which was $100. When this ***** showed up, we installed it and everything worked just fine. He seemed very happy, paid his bill and left. A few days later he called complaining that his U-Connect didn't work. We explained to him that we didn't know he wanted this feature to work.We were only concerned with making the Reverse Camera operational. He insisted that we over charged him and didn't do what we said we were going to. In reality we explained in great detail before we started the job what he would get. Never once did he ask for U-Connect. Never once did we offer U-Connect. He decided after the job was done that, he wanted more than we agreed to. We offered to make it work the way he wanted but at his cost, because we had already done everything,we said we would do. He refused. We collected $450 for the completed job. The job took one hour each time to complete. We did the job twice because of the defective ***** we ordered the first time. We were out the cost of shipping the ***** back to the ************. We paid Extra for the second *****. We incurred a cost to Program the ***** because it was used. He wanted us to eat all that cost, Remove the ***** again, send it back again, order another *****, and ********* that ***** all for FREE. We Declined. We priced the job fair and gave him the EXACT results we discussed at the time he OK'd it. So, in summary we did the job we said we were going to do, it was a fair price, it sounds like he has Buyers Remorse. We will not refund any amount because of the way he handled the situation and especially after he left a slanderous review about me personally on the internet. We welcome **** to take us to Small Claims where we can plead our case!

PURCHASED A VEHICLE FROM REMOTE START AND DAY I BOUGHT IT THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER BROKE SO HE AGREED TO TAKE IT TO THE TRANSMISSION SHOP TO START A REPAIR. VEHICLE WAS GONE ABOUT 2 OR 3 MONTHS AND WHEN I WENT TO RETREIVE IT HE TOLD ME THAT HE SOLD THE VEHICLE AND REFUSED TO GIVE ME ALL THE MONEY I SPENT FOR IT. HE TRIED TO ONLY REFUND $2100.00 DOLLARS BACK TO ME THEN STATED HE DOES NOT HAVE IT AND I SHOULD PICK OUT ANOTHER VEHICLE WHICH WAS PRICED WAY HIGHER THAN I CAN AFFORD.
