    El Nuevo Jalapeno advertised on their ******** page on 9/3/22 that the cover charge to enter their establishment was $30 before 10pm. I arrived at 930pm with my boyfriend. I was asked to pay $80 total. I asked ***** (the owner) if this was correct and he said yes. I went into the establishment, found a table, pulled up their advertisement on ******** and went back and showed him that it said $30 if you enter before 10pm and he charged me $40/each. I also told him that he only charged a friend of mine and her family $30/each. He said he didn't make the post on ********, so he wouldn't honor it. I told him I'd contact ***** (his wife and co-owner). ***** told me that she wasn't in charge of that and to talk to *****. I explained I already did, and he said since he didn't post the advertisement he wasn't honoring it. She told me that the $30 cover charge was if you bought tickets in advance, but that's not what the advertisement said and that's not how my friends paid $30/each. She ended up telling me that she would tell ***** to give me a full refund, but that I'd have to leave. I told her I'd prefer to stay and pay the $40. I went and told ***** that false advertising and overcharging is not professional and I could take them to court for it. He apologized but did not make it right. I've attached a screenshot of their advertisement from their ******** page for your review.
