Expenses paid out of pocket: Tile $3880, Supplies: $5288.84 (mortar/ditra) - 1/22/24, $245.28 (grout) - 1/29/24, Installation of tile in home, 1662 sq ft / fireplace hearth. Tile installed improperly. "Hollow' tiles everywhere. Tiles installed broken. Grout uneven. Grout lines uneven. Obvious shifting in tile lines...crooked. Grout missing. grout installed incorrectly (damages to walls/trim/cabinet kickplates. Stained pavers where mortar mixed/tiles cut. ******************* Inman and his son installed tile. Son was stoned (*****'s words) leading to faulty installs. Friend referred me to *****. The work was completed at my home in **. ***** lives in **...most likely unlicensed and uninsured as he failed to provide me his insurer at time work completed...currently insured (********). Installation took place over the course of 3 weeks while *****/son lived on site while I was not present. Last inspection done before last final payments noted no apparent damages/problems. After taking repossession of home, actual extent of problems became apparent when tapping on tiles. When confronting ***** in person about damages he placed blame on his son; made excuses. Offered to "clean up" grout. Declined offer as his work ethic is terrible and his job quality is even worse. No one will fix the job. Have attached all payments made to his wife, ********* Inman and recent estimate to redo entire job...estimate does not include price of tile.
