    On 11/22/24 a 2024 New Puma 53' Dove Tail Step Deck was purchased through ************** from Keast Enterprises. In the pictures attached, you will see the auction detail. As you can see, there is no mention of federal excise tax so we continued to bid up to $35,200 which is the price at which we won the auction. We went to the bank and got a loan for the $35,200. On 11/26/24 we sent an employee from Westmoreland, KS to Henderson, IA to pickup the trailer. When he arrived in Iowa, they would not let him take the trailer without paying the federal excise tax of $4,584.00. If the taxes are supposed to be paid, it should be listed in the auction details. We had already been to the bank and got the loan for $35,200 so we then had to go back and get another loan for the additional amount. Again, there is no mention anywhere in the listing about taxes. There was an invoice sent to us at the end of the auction for the $35,200 amount as seen in the pictures as well. There is an invoice attached for just $35,200, there is also an invoice attached for $39,784. They both have different invoice numbers. We are looking for a resolution and are seeking a refund in the amount of $4,584.00.

    Good afternoon, thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, all products sold on *********** are subject to applicable state and federal taxes, with collection the responsibility of the dealer, agreed to as part of their terms as a bidder. As we discussed during pickup, I apologize for the confusion of receiving two invoices, *********** does not calculate taxes to be collected by the dealer as part of their automatic invoicing. Because these terms were not understood when you were bidding, we offered to fully release you from the obligation of the purchase at that time and cover the cost of the resulting *********** fees, but your agreeing to complete the purchase resulted in us remitting these taxes collected. The product was removed from the lot over a month ago in agreement with these terms, so we are unfortunately no longer able to offer to release you from the purchase.
