I purchased a ******* ATV from ***** at Central Iowa Mopeds when the store was in Huxley. I traded in a *******. Part of the deal was a snow blade included in the sale. ***** said he had to order the blade and would put it on in his new **** store once the blade arrived. I contacted ***** by phone and email more than 5 times throughout the winter requesting the blade so I could put it on the Missimo to move snow. It never came and he said it was always on backorder. Since, I have traded the ****** because of not starting in the winter months for a different machine and requested a fair refund from *****. He does not get back to me in a timely manner and has not send any refund for the blade. I feel like I'm being more than fair since the blade was part of the original sale and simply request a fair refund for the blade I never got.

    *****,

Thank you for contacting the Better Business Bureau on this issue.

Massimo had their snow blades on back-order for most of the winter as I advised you. It was not just you that was waiting for a blade, I had may customers that were waiting.  Like I told you many times I would have delivered it to you just as soon as I received it from the vendor.  The deal when you purchased the Massimo, was that I would provide a snow blade installed on your Massimo UTV.  It was your choice to move on from the Massimo to something different.  Also, I think I was more than fair with what I allowed you for the GEM.  You told me that you had installed new batteries in the unit, but you never disclosed to me that it would not function or move for more than 15 minutes before it needed to be charged again until I asked you about it last fall.  This issue makes this unit unsellable, which was not the deal at all.  I would be more than happy to discuss this with you any time, and provide you with an installed snow blade, but I won't cut you a check for $700.  I am being more than fair and I want to make sure that you are taken care of.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.  You can always stop into the store or give me a call at ************.

The concern has now been resolved with Central Iowa Mopeds.  Thank you for your help.

I am writing to request that a previous claim against Central Iowa Mopeds be reopened. The original issue concerned the failure to provide a snow blade for a Missimo ATV that I purchased from the company in early fall. The snow blade was part of the original sale agreement but was never delivered.

Following the initial complaint, *****, the owner of Central Iowa Mopeds, contacted me directly and stated via text message that he would provide some compensation toward the cost of the snow blade. I have included copies of those text messages below as documentation of his commitment.

Unfortunately, I have not received any payment or resolution from ***** or Central Iowa Mopeds since that communication. As a result, I would like to formally reopen the claim and continue to pursue a resolution through your office.

Please let me know if you need any additional documentation or information from me to proceed.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Sincerely,

    ***** **********

Mr. ***** ********** will get his agreed upon payment for the snow blade from Central Iowa Mopeds as soon as we can.  Not sure who told him that he would not get the payment.  If he wants to call me or stop by the store he can talk to me by phone or face to face with.  The current economy has put a huge dent in the Power Sports Business and we are all just trying to survive at this point.

Mr. ********** is also aware that he misrepresented the condition of the *** that he had for trade.  Yes, it is my fault because I didn't demad to look at or drive the unit, I trusted the customer and took his cusotmer word for its contition.  I was told that he had just put in new batteries, which he did, but he did not explain to me or anyone at Central Iowa Mopeds that the *** would only run ***** minutes if lucky on a full charge, which makes the *** virtually unsellable.  I put good money in this unit for trade beleiving the customer that this unit was in good running shape.  I was aware of the finder damage so I'm ok with that part of the trade.  We tried to get the unit up and running for the 4th of July Celebration last year and could not even get the unit to move!  I'm being more than fare with the $399 as the deal was a snow blade installed for the Massimo, not a check or not a snow blade for a **** Deere.  That was Mr. ************ decision.

I have no ill will toward Mr. ********** and I'm hoping that he can also see my side of the transaction.  He will get taken care of just as soon as the summer business takes off here in *****

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I'd like a deadline of when I can expect the $399.00 reimbursement.

    Sincerely,

I bought a UTV from central iowa mopeds back in 2021 and had none stop issues with the tires and engine, which is all covered under the one year warranty. After 10 months of back and forth with this company he decided to give us a new UTV but after only driving 20 mile the tires started falling apart and engine issues started. I tried getting ahold of ***** the owner he has now blocked me and my wifes phone number and wont answer his business phone, assuming using his caller ID to screen our calls now. The vehicle is still under warranty and he is refusing to help.
