Bussanmas installed an Aprilaire Steam Humidifier on my furnace that has failed after a year of installation and within its five year warranty guarantee. Bussanmas failed to repair the product after a repair service call. I was charged for a part and service which did not resolve the problem. Bussanmas has refused to do perform warranty work for this product, that is under warranty. Bussanmas owner hung up on me during a telephone call without offering a plan to resolve this dispute to get unit operational. Bussanmas will not return my additional calls to the supervisor or the owner to discuss the matter for resolution.

      Business Response

      Date: 03/26/2024

      Good Morning

Bussanmas Heating and Cooling (BHC) did indeed install a Honeywell 800 Steam Humidifier for ************************* on December 20th, 2022.

BHC covers a 1-year labor warranty on the Honeywell 800, and Honeywell carries a 5-year parts warranty.

In December 2023, ******* let us know that the humidifier had stopped working. We scheduled an appointment for December 12, 2023.

At that appointment, our service tech discovered that the humidifier canister needed replaced because it had a mud looking crud in it that wasn't able to get cleaned out enough to re-install. A replacement canister was recommended.

The signed service ticket which ******* is disputing shows the charge for the service call and the replacement canister.  I have attached a copy of the service ticket. ******* had agreed to have the replacement canister mailed to him.

After he attempted installation of the canister and was unsuccessful, he contacted BHC for repair. When ******* spoke with ***** (Co-Owner) he was not trying to listen to any of what ***** was saying.

***** was at that time trying to schedule a time at NO CHARGE to have supervisor and himself go to *******'s and go through the steam humidifier.

*******, as he stated, did take the stat of the wall to attempt repair on his own. This comprises the integrity of the installation and BHC would have no way of knowing what was changed or done. ******* wanted BHC to come and figure out what happened, and he felt it should be at no expense to him. Homeowner self-repair efforts are not something that is covered by any warranty; however, ***** was willing to work with him as stated above and make another service call trip at no charge to investigate what was going on.
