Hired them to move my steps back up against the stoop of the house. They said it would be no problem, they came in February when we weren't home. We seen that they had worked on the steps but nothing had moved and foam was coming out all around them excessively. Called them and the secretary said they tried to move them but were unable to and they were not going to do anything more with the steps, now I am stuck with this mess plus four holes that were drilled through my aggregate steps used to spray the foam in. She said she would have the owner get in touch with me. He never called back or emailed me and I made several attempts to reach out to him.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We value transparency and constructive criticism as they allow us to continuously enhance our services for our customers.

We understand your frustration regarding the situation with your front steps. To provide further context, we'd like to clarify that our assessment and decision not to proceed with the work were made in February. At that time, we communicated our findings and reasons behind our decision. Regrettably, proceeding with the job as initially discussed posed a risk of damage as the steps were pinned to the foundation. Thus, we made the responsible choice not to proceed and refrained from charging you for any services.

Despite our responsible decision-making process aimed at ensuring the highest quality of work and avoiding potential damage, we were met with disagreement. It's important to emphasize that we hold ourselves to a high standard of craftsmanship. We firmly believe that if a job cannot be completed to our standards of excellence, it is better not to proceed at all. Again, there were no charges for any service.

Regarding the appearance of the patched holes, we acknowledge that the outcome may not have met your expectations, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. These four holes, each smaller than a dime at 3/8" in diameter, were patched with industry standard concrete grout, the same material we would have used if the job were feasible.

We want to emphasize that we have a zero-tolerance policy for employee harassment. Respectful communication is crucial for effective issue resolution, and we kindly request that all interactions with our team members adhere to this principle. However, in business, there are instances where not everyone may be satisfied despite our best efforts to provide excellent service.

Attached are photos from this project that the technician took when we decided not to proceed with the job of where the steps are pinned to the foundation and of the steps, which were left clean and with no change in condition aside from the small patched holes. Additionally, a screen grab of the project file showing there were no charges for any service.

I am rejecting this response because: There is no rebar connecting the steps to the stoop and if there was the steps would not have separated from the stoop. If they saw the rebar, which there is none, why did they try to lift them if they knew it would not work? Now I have this mess of foam between the steps and the stoop that I have no idea of how to clean up. As stated prior, no return calls after leaving several messages.

Pictures are attached showing separation with no rebar attaching the steps to the stoop. Pictures also showing foam between steps and stoop.

      Sincerely,

Our team thoroughly assessed the work but concluded it wasn't feasible to proceed, hence refraining from charging for any services. As no services were rendered and no agreement reached, there's no further recourse available. We acted responsibly, adhering to industry standards and ethical practices to avoid any potential property damage.

For your reference, we have attached the original estimate that we decided not to move forward with. It also includes photos of the steps before we made the decision.

We consider this matter closed and appreciate your understanding.
