    We had to relocate for work so we did not renew our lease in June 2023. We moved out a couple months before the end of our lease, but kept the unit so we had a place to stay for the few final work trips back to *********. We were in the unit for maybe one week a month. While we were gone, shades were closed and the air conditioner was set to 80 degrees. Our MidAmerican bill was about the same as it had been when we were there every day running appliances and using electricity "as normal." We contacted MidAmerican to determine why our bill wasn't any lower despite not being in the unit and their representative stated perhaps the meters were labeled incorrectly and we were being billed/paying the meter for another unit in the complex. MidAmerican needed the landlord (***************) to coordinate a time with current tenants to come out and gain access to the units to determine if the meters were in fact labeled improperly. MidAmerican was willing to help, but could not do so until the landlord gave tenants proper notice and help facilitate access to the units. *** repeatedly ignored phone calls, emails, and texts about the issue. He blocked my number from calling him. We would like the meters to be properly identified so MidAmerican can review our bills for the time that we lived there and issue a proper refund. I have tried calling the Rentals IC office, the Urban ************* ***'s cell phone, and emailed *** on multiple occasions. All with no response. The Rentals IC office receptionist stated the message would be passed on and would ask *** to call me back but never did.

    We moved out of our apartment on November 28, 2022. In our rental agreement we were supposed to get our security deposit returned to us within 30 days (December 28, 2022). We also overpaid our rent by 1 month that we are needing refunded for. We emailed and called and have not gotten any answers. We spoke to them today and they still didnt give any answers as to why we havent gotten payment or heard back from them. This overpayment in rent and security deposit is equal to 2 months of mortgage payments for us now.
