    For over six months now we have been trying to get ahold of the owner to switch out a smoke detector that shouldnt have gone bad since we barely had it a few months before it happened and they are guaranteed for 10 years. He kept avoiding us and I reached out to corporate during the months that arent shown in the attachments. Corporate kept reaching out to him and all he responded with is he wished we would have called him when we tried for months to get ahold of him. Corporate did end up sending us a new one to swap out but also told us that our system is not hooked up right and does not show up on the commlink. We have ****** children that requires us to be up to code on our fire safety equipment. This makes them not up to code and since we spent $4,800 on them not even a year ago we would just let to return them and get our money back and no longer do business with them. They arent holding up to their deal if a no hassle switch if needed due to a dead battery and then not hooking it up right makes me uncomfortable with their system. My fianc does have more texts if needed.

    As far as the letter you received, yes the customers had an issue with a battery, they told me about it, I agreed to replace the unit for them.  They did offer to meet in town somewhere to make an exchange.  I asked when would be a good time to meet?  They said usually after 4, there was no specified date and I never heard anything else from them.  Ill admit I completely forgot about it after that, then several months later I received a text message demanding a full refund.  Again, I offered to come out and get everything taken care of.  I offered to replace the unit with a dead battery and take the whole network down and reprogram everything as it wasnt showing up properly on their app.  We set up a time, and then they cancelled telling me they had been in contact with corporate, and chose not to work with me any longer.  They were sent the replacement unit, and Im still more than happy to reprogram the network for them.

    I am rejecting this response because: 

    We didnt demand a full refund, we just want to get rid of the system due to it being unreliable and the hassle this has been. We just feel that since the things we bought were not up to what was promised that some sort of refund should be given. The company wanted to compare this to a mechanic and a car, if a shop messed up on a car there would be some sort of compensation.
