    On 02/21/2023 this hotel took and unauthorized $100 out of my bank account because someone complained that we were smoking in our room, 2 ladies came to our room to check it and didnt smell any smoke. When we left for work the housekeepers and manager went into our room while there was a do not disturb sign on our door.

    I arrived at Super 8 ************ ** hotel checked in Oct 15 2022 and put my bags in the room. I then went across the street to the ********** When I got back to my room, I tried to turn on the *** It did not work. I called the front desk and told the desk clerk girl my ** doesnt work. She told me Yeah the ** doesnt work in that room. I asked her to have them bring me a different ** she said NO. I asked to change rooms, the desk clerk said NO they didnt have any other single rooms available on the ground floor and she didnt think there was any on the second floor either. I reminded her that when I made my reservation, weeks ago -I requested a ground floor due to Dr note NO STAIRS. I asked if she could just move me to another room on the ground floor, she said no not without charging me more money. I asked her to call her manager to give me the room for the same price since they put me in a room with no working *** I told her I would walk the dog outside and get back with her in ***** mins. When I went to the front desk, she said she could not get ahold of the manager bc they were overseas. I told her I would have to change to a different hotel then. The front Desk clerk said go head she didnt care. I informed her they better not charge me for the room. She said they wouldnt but her computer was down so she couldnt credit me at the moment. I loaded up my bags and returned the key to her her computer was still down but she said she would make sure to not charge me for the room.She was more interested in talking to her boyfriend on the phone than helping solve the problem at hand. I left and went down the Street to another hotel. the Super 8 charged my credit card $100.79. I tried to have my credit card company dispute it - but they stated the Super 8 said I stayed- and just informed me today. I have proof on my statement that I went down the street and stayed at another hotel the Motel 6 that night. I have my receipt from Motel 6. I do not have a receipt from Super 8 bc I didnt stay there.Thank you ***********************
