      My children were seen for their annual eye exams on 07.10.24. I paid the copay amount as I normally do, but I was looking over there paperwork before signing it and it was saying the retinal screening was not optional and that out of pocket was ***** ea and ***** ea for the exam. Previously it was covered and out of pocket was ***** ea total. I paid it, but didn't think it was correct. I told them I would call and verify with my insurance.* I spoke with ********* at VSP when I got home she verified that nothing had changed in their coverage and that my out of pocket was still ***** ea. that they had coded it incorrectly..**The next day I called the clinic and spoke to **** in billing and after reviewing their paperwork she stated that they had billed in the insurance company incorrectly (wrong code). She told me that she would contact the office about the refund due (*****) and get a check sent out since I paid cash. I have receipts showing payment ***** +***** ea. instead of ***** each **I called the office again 08/06/24 because I hadn't received my refund check yet (spoke with ***** initially} was transferred to **** in billing again, spoke to her and was told I had to call the office because the refund had been submitted.08/06/24 ******** returned my call both accounts had credits applied and on file, she asked if I wanted the credits to stay on file or a check to be issued. I told her that I would like a check mailed out or I could pick it up. She verified my mailing address and said it would be sent out today or tomorrow.** 08.26.24 Called and spoke again with ***** in the office to follow up, told her that I had never received a reimbursement check for the overpayment/credit on my children's accounts. She told me that she remembered speaking with me previously and put me on hold to try and get the manger. She got back on and told me that she was currently busy and that she would check into it and get back to me....09/08/24 Never called- no check
