I cannot recommend this business. Seller left money w/company to mitigate by Jan 10 and I am still waiting to use my basement on April 22. Poor communication and disregard for accuracy of information shared w/me has made this project difficult and untimely. Recently discussed my concerns with **** *****, GM who told me I lied concerning the circumstances of service. Scheduling was delayed and reason offered (same technician must completed started work) was untrue. As the initial technician that began the project has never returned. Questioning if I (remember Im the buyer) want to continue mitigation when post mitigation test was 2 units too high. Being told that second mitigation would require addition sump hole, piping and outlet and then understanding this was not true and increasing the fan size was the actual 2nd mitigation action. **** said well we were just preparing you for the worst. What a bunch of bull. I do not recommend this business.

At AmeriServ Radon, we are committed to providing quality service and clear communication throughout every project. Were genuinely sorry to hear that this customer was dissatisfied with their experience, and wed like to address the concerns raised.
Unfortunately, there was an issue from the beginning due to incorrect contact information, which contributed to delays and a breakdown in communication early in the process. Once the correct information was provided, we made every effort to resolve the situation promptly and professionally.
The installation itself was affected by multiple unforeseen challenges, including extreme winter temperatureswhich made it unsafe to proceed with certain materialsand a serious health emergency involving a technician. While these issues were outside of our control, we remained focused on ensuring the final system was effective and met our high standards for safety and performance.
Regarding the project timeline and scope, we want to clarify that no specific deadline was communicated to our office until well after the start of the project. Additionally, a secondary suction point initially anticipated was not needed, resulting in reduced cost and less disruption to the property. We have refunded that portion to the appropriate party.
Despite these challenges, the project was completed successfully, and post-installation radon levels were reduced to well below the *** guideline of 4.0 pCi/L. We stand by the quality of the work performed and our decision-making throughout the process.
While we acknowledge that communication could have been better early on, we did our best given the information we had. We regret any frustration this caused and remain committed to transparency, safety, and continuous improvement in our service.
