On 11/7/2022 I picked my truck up. I had brought it in for transmission squealing/shifting hard. Oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2 high voltage, and stalling while stopping. None of these problems were resolved. I paid $1,256.32 and they told me a wiring connector for my transmission would be $35 they ended up charging me over $300 for the part that is not including labor and replaced parts that had nothing to do with the problem. Then cleared the codes and sent it back.

    Good Morning ****,

This is ********************* the Service Manager at Okoboji Motor Company.  I understand ********************* sent a complaint in about us.  Here is the situation from our end.  We recommended he replace the transmission due to metal being in the fluids.  We also had parts listed out for other fixes but told him they would not work.  ****** spoke with ******* (service advisor) and ***** (GM Certified Technician) and they both told him he needed a new transmission.  He declined the transmission but wanted us to do other work to it.  The advisor and the tech told him he had metal in the transmission and he said "Yea, its been in there for a while".  They then said even if we do this work you want us to do, it won't fix the issue in the transmission.  Now he's mad the transmission isn't fixed.  He was told gear 4 was shot and therefore his transmission needed replaced.  I called and left a message for ****** to call me after I heard he was upset but have not heard back from him yet.  I am attaching the quote and recommendation of a new transmission and the signature page which shows he authorized the work he wanted.  I also discounted the labor rate for him to give him a discount to fix the issues he wanted fixed.  I shouldn't have but I was trying to help him out.  Please let me know what else you need from us to resolve it.  Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:
A new transmission or rebuild was never mentioned. I brought it in for a p0741 (tcc solenoid stuck off) jerking shifting and rough idle. 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 high voltage and stalling when I use the break. If you what was written down for the technician you will see they didn't write anything down. They also never recommended a new transmission they said there is metal shavings in which I responded it's more of a dust I know it's been in there. I also mentioned I'm sure the torque converter is going out as they usually do when this truck gets near 100k miles. I had mentioned usually new torque converter means a rebuild in which they responded with a yeah. Transmission was never listed on the parts. They had new tires (which I get from a customer of mine) new calipers (which I do myself before snow season). I still have the stalling and 02 sensor issues.
    Sincerely,

I did attach the list of items that were needed to fix on the last email.  It is noted in the box on the middle left side of the page that the transmission had an internal failure with metal in the fluid.  ************ was told what was needed to fix the vehicle but declined and only wanted certain items fixed.  We did fix those items per his request.  I have also attached the text message between him and my service advisor *********************  In the texts he admitted he probably had metal in the fluid.  Please let me know what else you would need from us.  Thank you.
