    On 6/1/22 my fianc hired ******************************* through Gerhardt Construction and Remodeling to build his garage. Before we started the work, **** demanded that ***** needed to pay half of the final price for the down payment. ***** told **** he wasn't comfortable with doing that because he hadn't started any work and what if something would happen to him. **** agreed that ***** could pay him in thirds. ***** paid his first third as a down payment. After all of the supplies were delivered through Menards, **** slowly started to come and work on the garage. At that point **** had not even earned his first third of the payment. ***** had to find someone to do all of the dirt work, **** had an engineer sign off on ******* final drawings of the building and when ***** went to turn that into the county for the final submission, they were wrong and the engineer didn't even catch that ******* had sent the wrong materials. **** does not show up for more than a day and a half a week to work on this garage. He started to attempt to build this garage the last week of July. The garage isn't even half way done. A few weeks into the building process **** realized that the dirt work was wrong. This is something that should have been seen ASAP. **** will not show up for weeks on end and comes up with an excuse every time you try and ask him why he isn't coming to work on it. He will lie and say that he will be out the next day or take half days to finish the work, and he never shows up. **** told ***** that he needed to have his second third paid before he could complete anymore work. ***** paid him, even tho he has not earned the second third of his payment since the garage has been in the same shape and form and has not been worked on. The last time **** has been to our house to work was on September 29. Before that date, he hadn't show up since August 9. **** told my fianc that the garage would be done and built by this Friday, October 14 and it isn't even half way done.

    Hello. Job has been completed. There was work and expenses outside of the scope of the contract that I performed at my cost that lead to delays. But job has been completed and customer is happy.
