This is "not" buyer's remorse. I was told one thing, and then had to pay an incredibly much higher price. I supplied an auto service center with new brake pads and brand-new wheel lug nuts. I also needed an oil change. On Thursday 2/20/2025, I was told by (2) employees (one was a mechanic behind the counter) that my brake job and oil change would be around $260 out the door since I was bringing in the parts. I even brought the parts in to show them! I reiterated, (4) brake pads and an oil change for about $260? The lady behind the counter (Steph) said, "that is correct." I offered to pay it right there! She said, "oh no, not until after the work is done."The man who did the repair made the fantastic claim that he's been doing this type of work for 25 years. He also put in the labor description "EXTRA LABOR TIME ADDED FOR REMOVAL OF ALL SWOLLEN, DAMAGED WHEEL BOLTS..." I contest THERE WERENT ANY! And I know this because I just had the wheels rotated about 2 months earlier at Discount Tire and addressed the issue at that time of swollen lug nuts. (not bolts) furthermore, he rotated my tires, and I didn't want them rotated! The thing that bothers me, is that they never called me & verified the work to be done, OR what if any additional charges there were going to be.

On 03/20,2025 Mr. ******* did have His vehicle in for repairs. Going over the repair order and speaking with the technician who completed the repairs, I have found that there was a miscommunication between the technician, service manager and the customer. Mr. ******* was charged for an oil change and a four-wheel brake pad replacement. (No Rotors) Customer supplied front and rear brake pads along with lug bolts. When Mr. ******* asked our service manager how much to install 4 of His own brake pads, he was told 1.5 hours labor @ $45.00 per hour. Which is $217.50. (before tax) Mr. ******* brought us 8 brake pads. 4 pads for the front, and 4 pads for the rear. Our technician saw two sets of brakes pads, so he put on both sets, which doubles the labor, $435.00. Mr. ******* WAS NOT charged for the removal and replacement of the damaged lug bolts. And the tire rotation was needed as the better tires should always be on the drive wheels, (Also Free of charge) and they were not. I do admit that there should have been better communication with the customer on our part. Which is why I am wanting to resolve this by refunding Mr. ******* $217.50. The labor for the installation of second set of pads.

June 11, 2024; I picked up my car from Higgins after being repaired. Come to find out, the brakes werent working. They had put brand new ************* on as well as some other repairs. After speaking with the mechanic 3 times, and him looking at it a 2nd time, and being told your vehicle is fine. I did all the repairs correctly. On 6/13, I took my car to another shop to be inspected. Got a list of stuff that was wrong with the brakes to explain why my car wouldnt stop. They stated pads were glazed over and rodars were hot from extensive heat. The side rod was not greased, only had around 5% of grease on both rods. Went back to Higgins and spoke with 1 the owners who stated he was backing his mechanic. He also stated to bring it back on 6/17 for repairs. They replaced the ************* again, as well as both calibers, since the 1st mechanic didnt grease the side bar for the wheels and brakes. After getting my car back on 6/19, brakes still not braking correctly. I dont feel comfortable taking my car back to them a 4th time to do repairs, so will need to go to different mechanic to repair and get done correctly.
