      This company was originally dentists unlimited until *********************************************** bought out. They did not send me a notice. They did work and said it was covered on three members of my family and said it was covered. I have called several times and the bill amount keeps changing. When confronted they told me the company was bought out in May I did know know not did they tell anyone in my family.

      The dates are on the uploaded billing statement. The business was Dentistry Unlimited and the services provided were by ***********************************, and Dr. **************************** Kimball and Beecher Family Dentistry (previously Dentistry Unlimited) told me that they went out of our insurance network (FEDVIP) MetLife Dental on 1 March 2023. They said that ******* was supposed to let me know this and so they were expecting the full billing amount. MetLife told me that the dental provider was responsible to let me know they were no longer in network. Neither party let us know before the appointments in April and May 2023. Kimball and Beecher Family Dentistry told me at first that it was not there responsibility and later said they believed Dentistry Unlimited sent out a letter in February 2023 stating they would no longer be in network for MetLife . I did not get this letter and find it suspicious that they said at first it was not their responsibility. They did not tell us at the appointments that they were no longer in network for our insurance (MetLife). They said they did not provide any public facing information that they had changed from Dentistry Unlimited to *********************************************** until June 2023, which was after our appointments. Had we been in network or been notified so we could have changed to a Dentist in network our bills would have equalled less than $400. I would have expected the ************** to tell us at our appointment that our insurance was no longer in network. I don't believe they sent a letter to me about this and they have no records of this, just a word of mouth saying they sent a letter. The did say later that they could reduce the over $1167 bill by $200 and that they believed this was to much to do, but they would out of professional courtesy. Meanwhile, I have both the dentist office and the providers stating it is not their responsibility to let the patient know that their insurance is no longer in network.
