On June 23,2023 at 7:07am, I went to their KWWL website, and ordered gift certificates in the Deal Tracker promotion. It was buy a $25 gift certificate, get a $25 gift certificate free. There was no limit, so I ordered 4 certificates, totaling $100, and should have received 4 free. I entered my credit card information on their website, and submitted my order. The website stated the certificates would be mailed out in **** days. Nothing has arrived. I tried contacting KWWL employee *******, but she never has called me back. According to the website, she is the contact person for the Deal Tracker promotion.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/31/2023

We were recently notified by the Better Business Bureau about a complaint filed about KWWL Television.

The customer's statement of the problem was in regards to not receiving some gift certificates that he thought he purchased on KWWL.com through KWWL's Deal Tracker promotion.

Customer went online on June 23rd at ****** to take advantage of a "buy one, get one free" offer for a $25 gift certificate to a local restaurant called "****************."  The customer purchases (4) $25 gift cards and was expecting to receive (4) additional gift cards at no charge. On or about **** days later, the customer did not receive the gift cards as stated in the promotion and tried reaching KWWL Digital Sales Manager ************************* to find out what happened.

Once I received this complaint, I immediately reviewed the situation with ******* to see what could have happened.

******* looked in the system we use for tracking customer purchases and the customer was not listed as purchasing anything.  ******* did not active the Deal Tracker promotion live on KWWL.com until 7:58am on June 23rd.  There would have been no way that anyone trying to purchase anything prior to 7:58am would have received a confirmation of purchase.  ******* also reviewed her recent emails and phone calls and could not find any indication of receiving a message from the customer.

The customer may have thought his purchase went through, but our records indicate there was no transaction processed that morning for him. ************************* did go ahead and send the customer (4) $25 gift certificates to the Highway 63 Dinner at no charge and apologized for the inconvenience.

If the customer has a credit card or bank statement that shows that a transaction did indeed go through for $100 on June 23rd, then we will promptly either send him (4) more $25 gift cards or refund his money. Whichever he decides.

Thank you for making us aware of the situation.
