Greeting Gentlemen, (July 25 through July 30 2022. Innovation Refunds (www.innovationrefunds.com) has been soliciting our company for some time via email and media advertising asking us to fill out a questionnaire to determine if our company was eligible for a tax rebate under the *** tax rebate program. We filled out the questionnaire and got a response within a minute that based on our answers that they had good news for us and that we were eligible for a tax rebate of $237,000.00 and all they needed was for us to send them specific documents. Over the course of the next few days, we received numerous emails from them asking to get our documents sent to them so they could get us in line for the rebates. Our Company (********* LLC) spent all morning scanning and preparing over 100 documents that they requested and emailed them to ********************************* After submitting these documents all communication ended on their end. Numerous attempts to at least get a response via email with a few questions went unanswered. We placed a call directly to ******** personal cell phone and left a message in addition to other calls without leaving a message. We still have not gotten any response to our inquiries and feel like we are simply being ignored now. We are not looking for any compensation other than an official communication that maybe after reviewing our documents we may not be eligible for the program. It seems only fair after being spammed with communication from them and after preparing over 100 documents for them that we deserve some sort of communication.

We were made aware of this company via our bank who we have a good relationship and who we trust. The parties represented to us that we can get money from the government for what is called as Employee Retention Credit and the money is ours to keep. They also mentioned that they will do all the calculations once we submit the forms and we can determine whether we can pursue the claim (filing for ERC) or not. The numbers they showed and the information they shared did not disclose an important component, which is the taxes we have to pay the government once we receive the credit. For example, if we receive $100,000 credit, as per their representation, we get to keep that $100,000 and then pay $25,000 out of that to this company as "fee". What we came to know is that, the $100,000 we receive from the government as ERC credit increases our tax liability as if that $100,000 is income (or to that extent), which really makes our costs way higher than what we were made to believe. We have to pay federal and state taxes on the $100,000, then pay these people $25,000 and then pay for the accountants to amend our tax returns. The extra costs, burden, and effort is something that was not disclosed to us in the calculations presented to us. We seek adjustment in the fees to reflect what we are made to believe. We also ask that the BBB and the community to ensure that proper disclosures are made to all unsuspecting future clients of this business so that parties can make informed decision.
