Iowa Fence was hired to build a fence on the property line by my neighbor in July 2024. I told the crew that day, that they were building too far West and were not on the property line. The crew told me that they found the survey pins. (I knew for a fact that these 2 lots had never been surveyed, and I said so, as property surveys are public records). When I asked them to show me the pins, he changed his story and said they were using GIS. GIS is never accurate according to the 2 surveyors I called. ****** also reiterated that GIS is accurate within 2-3'. The survey I hired done, was completed on November 14, and Iowa Fence has made no effort to remove the fence on my property. The fence is over 2.5' on the North end and 3.5' on the South end. We've reached out 2 times to narrow down a date and were told they are waiting on supplies. It doesn't take any supplies to remove the fence from my property. When it is rebuilt, it is to be set back 18" from the property line due to new ordinance. I want the fence removed from my property ASAP...they've had 30 days and several nice days to accomplish this, since the survey was completed. I also want reimbursed for the cost of the survey. Iowa Fence should have required a survey from their customer.
