I purchased new furnace, air conditioner and water heater on 11/8/******** cost of the project $12,318.00.Lozier was to install 3 working pieces of equipment, using existing exhaust/intake pipes that vent through the ********************* was absolutely no mention that because the new furnace was modulating verses staged, I would likely have issues with condensation freezing in the exhaust causing the unit to furnace to stop heating during periods of extreme cold. The first time this happened was on 1/15/24, they sent a tech who simply cut the exhaust pipe and rerouted it through the intake, the intake froze 5 days later. On 1/24/24 they were back out to reconnect everything properly. Fast forward to 1/20/25 and the exhaust pipe is once again frozen. I attempted reach my salesman (**** *****, also an owner per their website) via text, I can see that he read the text but has never responded. I paid to have a tech come out to reroute the exhaust and paid the $219.62. I called the office today and spoke with the owner **** wanting some sort of permanent solution, all he could tell me is that they effectively changed something on my furnace making it a staged instead of modulating. So what was the point of purchasing the higher efficiency model? He also indicated that frozen pipes have nothing to do with the furnace...which I find hard to swallow as my previous furnace ran for 16 years and I never once had issues a frozen exhaust pipe. When I mentioned that we replace the *****, **** stated that installing new pipes would not solve the issue of freezing. He indicated that ****** issued a notice a few weeks ago about changing the furnace to staged. If Lozier was indeed aware of this issue, why am I being charged for something that could have easily taken 10 minutes and retained a happy customer. ******************** could have sent a notice mentioning the potential fix and I would gladly taken advantage! Instead, I came home to a cold house and pay overtime rates.
