    They constantly hide fees and charges in your bill. You are required to use their wi-fi service (which is problematic and quite slow), as well as their rental insurance which is quite high with poor coverage. The landlords do not follow through and it is difficult to contact the office most times. They often lie and are not willing to resolve issues in a respectful or polite manner. Maintenance response time is also extremely slow. We were out of a microwave for two weeks and outdoor windows haven't been washed since we moved in over a year ago.

    I am a current resident at ********************. Lived here several years, however since Hubbell Realty purchased & Indigo Living manages property its been awful. Emergency maintenance calls requiring immediate service have gone unanswered leaving me to manage. Most recently on 5th week of waiting on repairs to treat, repair & restore weeks of water damage that 4 maintenance technicians were unable to identify source for 2 weeks when reoccurring water damage wouldnt dry. Initially I was informed by maintenance the water damage from bathroom ***************** into adjacent mstr ****** soaking carpet/padding was condensation, high humidity & hot temperature avoiding 2nd & 3rd floors, no leak? When I questioned this & shared my concern that I felt strongly the leak was 2nd floor tenants tub/plumbing based on location of water damage my concerns were dismissed & I received text from maintenance that tenant above me had only shower plus our floor plans were different, not true. I was given a dehumidifier for ****** & told to run exhaust fan in bathroom while water was left dripping from saturated insulation for days. Work order was closed out & I was informed that an appointment with HVAC to use camera was scheduled to inspect ventilation when no water was coming from vent. Finally after continuous water damage a maintenance technician on call actually came, removed exhaust fan locating that indeed there was an obvious leak from upstairs unit. Finally confirmation, he attempted a fix which was not source. Eventually a licensed plumber days later identified the upstairs tenants tub was cracked upon stepping into, causing all the water damage. I waited 2 weeks for tub to dry & be sealed, not replaced. A week since tub was sealed Im still waiting on any water damage remediation work to be done while mold is growing/spreading since building materials werent removed as you would expect over weeks. 3rd occurrence of water damage in last 2 yrs. Terrible living conditions.

    If management is going to be rude then they should actually do something instead of saying it's not our responsibility. This complex is rapidly becoming increasingly difficult to want to stay. Dog's off there chains. No body picks up after there dog's. I had a package of mail stolen from the office and they didn't even look at the video. The list goes on and on. Read the REVIEWS!

    I moved to the Des Moines Building because of one person and that person is Jayme Taylor because she knew the building and really made me feel like I was home. When they changed management companies the kept her on as manager because she knew the building and residents really well. Unfortunately Indigo Living fired for some unknown reason and unfortunately I signed another 12 month lease or I would be moving out because she made it worth living here. I will say this once my year is up I will definitely be thinking about moving. She got things done and was always willing to listen to you and your problems. I honestly doubt the next manager will be as personable as Jayme was. So thank you Des Moines building for making my decision to move just that much easier.

They know the building well and are here for our residents. We are sad to see that you may not continue living with us after your lease expires, but in the mean time, we are dedicated to making the next year of living here a great one. If we do not answer immediately, we may be assisting another resident and we encourage you to try again. Additionally, we may need access into your apartment if the issue cannot be fixed from the outside and if that becomes the case, your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

    I wish I could put into words how horrible Hubbel Realty has been.

    I live over in ballyard lofts and love the apartment and would stay long term but my experience since the beginning has been absolutely horrible.

    First, I was told parking was free. I moved in, checked my online portal and started getting charged parking per month for my vehicle in 2023 with no knowledge or advancement. I talked to other people who lived in the apartment complex last year, none of them pay for parking. it was a total scam for new tenants.

    Second, I have had a couple of maintenance issues and have had to put repeated requests in to get them handled. When I first moved in, the storage area had garbage all over it, but because it wasn't a common area they show people on tours, it is never cleaned. I have sent three or four inquires on it, it is still a mess.

    Third, they don't plow when it snows. You have to just fend for yourself and create your own path out of the parking lot. I am terrified what it will be like when it really snows. I will probably park my car down the street just for safety.

    Forth, on several occasions, I have seen homeless people going through the garbage and walking around the outside of the apartment. No one else I know downtown deals with this, it is just this complex.

    Fifth, the one door doesn't have a key fob so there is just a code to get in and out. Anyone can get that code so it is is a safety hazard.

    Last thing, I called in and was told by one individual what my rent would be, I planned around that and it turns out, my rent was actually 200 bucks more than expected for the month. Had he been honest with me, I would have moved out. The worst thing about that situation, was I called and he put me on speaker with another employee cause he knew he had messed up.

    Don't live at ballyard lofts, if you can, don't live at anything Hubbell Realty in des moines. You will regret it.
