    *** was supposed to paint my bike, I paid shipping both ways. I shipped them out of ********** on 4-1-24I sent my motorcycle parts to him, the items included were a tank, fairing, two fenders and two battery covers. I fronted him $725 that I was told would cover up front costs. *** initially told me 3-4 weeks. He ended up in the hospital which he could not help. I asked that when he was out for him to please just send me my parts back with the labels I paid for to have shipped back. I received my parts back. They were not prepped. They were packaged exactly how I sent them and untouched. This would have been great, but I paid him $725 that I am being told he used to cover bills and no longer has money to pay me back and will get to me when he starts working again but is unsure of when that will happen. So now I am out $725 for a paint job that was not even started. I asked for a refund of $625 to cover his gas and time and he told me he did not have the money. I am asking for a refund as I should not be out $725 for a job that was not finished. I have all supporting texts and documents for this.

    I was hospitalized with endocarditis for over three weeks. I still have a series of procedures to go through and Im months from complete recovery. I did not want this. It has ruined my life and probably my business. I kept in constant contact with *****. I also spent a large chunk of money of what he sent me on paint and materials and his project was next up before I landed in the hospital unexpectedly. It was his choice to terminate our agreement. He did not want to wait for me to work on his parts. Thats on him. If someone cannot understand the severity of how sick and close to dying I was, then I dont know what I can do. I could have kept his parts and painted them at my leisure but I sent them back to him because thats what HE wanted. When I initially told him I was in hospital he was extremely rude. My life hung in the balance and this guy couldnt care less. Speaks to his character. This bbb report did not come as a surprise. I hope in the future he learns a little compassion

    Sent Hagen Kustoms my motorcycle parts for a custom paint job on August 5th of 2023. The total number of parts to be painted was 7. *** ********************** claimed it would be a 2 to 3 week turnaround time. After 5 weeks had past, I had messaged *** to find out the status of the paint. He had told me that they were being shipped next Monday. Contacted *** the following Monday and was told that it would be the following Monday. This went on for over several weeks and finally got the first part on 10-30-23. The next package arrived 11-11-23 with 5 more parts in it. This package had some small metal parts in it that was not secured well and bounced around to make contact with another one of the newly painted parts. This caused a large chip in the new paint. I had also discussed some of the other issues that was noticed in the paint. It appears he had sprayed the new paint over pre existing chips and flaws of the previous paint job and it showed. *** did not paint 3 of the small parts like agreed and sent them back in the same condition. At this time I also told *** that I have not seen all of the parts (one missing). He had claimed they were all sent and had to contact Fed Ex. to confirm. ***** went by with him telling me that he was waiting for a rep to contact him on the status of the package. He responded to a message that I sent him on 12-22-23 saying that Fed Ex lost the package and that they would only reimburse him $100 and the cost of shipping. *** has promised to replace the missing part but fails to do so saying that he doesn't have the money.

    Spoke with Ben ********************** in Oct of 2022 to have a motorcycle gas tank repaired and painted. We agreed on a price of $500 and a time frame of 3 to 4 weeks to have it completed. After numerous lies and deflection, I was able to get the gas tank back 10 months later. When I received the tank the quality of work was terrible. *** did suggest sending it back to him to fix but I was very reluctant because of the finished product I received and the time frame it took. He said he would send money back so I decided to take it to a local painter. To repair his work cost me an additional $650. The tank came out great until I put gas in it. *** had cut and welded a section out of the tank to repair it. He claimed he pressure tested it but the gas leaked through the welds and bubbled the new paint repair I had done. I once again contacted him and he again asked for my Venmo account to refund the money. I still havent seen any refund from him. Once the welds are fixed properly I will once again have to pay to get it repainted. Overall a very bad experience and poor business practices.

    I did agree to paint his gas tank. I also agreed to cut out a section and weld it back in, bodywork and repaint the tank. I did all of that. When I shipped the tank back he said the bodywork wasnt perfect. It was very nice when it left my hands. I said if something happened in shipping I would gladly take care of it, just send it back. He opted to not do so. He then had someone else grind out the bodywork exposing the bare metal and his person he hired ground through the welds on the patch I welded in resulting in holes. I pressure checked the tank before I sent it out. It was perfect. If he would have sent me the tank back I would repaired whatever damage happened in shipping. He would not do so. Instead he chose to blackmail me for a full refind or else he would file a BBB complaint and slander me on all of my social media. Which he has done. I tried to work with him.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    It was claimed that the new painter I hired to fix the body and paint ground the body work down to the metal which is not true. He only exposed the existing filler and fixed it from there. His shop is local and I was able to verify this in person. The tank was also not damaged in any way from shipping. It was poor bodywork and paint. He also claims that he pressure checked the welds before he sent the tank out. When we finally exposed the welded area every leak was where he welded the section back together.

    What he states is simply not true. He is trying to money back for work that i did. I did pressure check the tank, more than once. It did not leak. I will not be blackmailed for money.
