  Back in 2018, I lived with my ex husband and rented from TreeHouse Properties. When my son was born we had to move to ********** and had to break the lease early. My ex husband was the only one in communication with ****** (owner to TreeHouse Properties). I was told we were only to pay 2 months rent and we were good, which we did. Forwarding on, I had divorced my ex husband and was on my own with my 5 yr (2022). In 2023 I applied for Section 8 and got approved until the landlord in ********************** in ****, ***** had informed me there was a Collection from TreeHouse Properties. I called my Ex Husband and asked what that was, he couldnt remember what exactly it was for but that back then ****** contacted him again to demand more money. My ex blocked his number rather than resolving the issue and I was not told about that until 2023. I personally called ****** and told him I wanted to get this resolved, he didnt say why I was being charged but gave me the number to Action Collection. I called and had to make payments from Nov. 2023 - March 2024 of $1,463. I paid it off as I felt like I had no ********** lost my sect. 8 in March. I was desperate to seek a place for my son and I and was told until I paid this off I will not be accepted anywhere. Finally in May of 2024 I tried to apply for a Townhouse in *****, *****. I was once again denied for a false Inquiry from TreeHouse Properties. Action collection stated I paid off everything but a lady named ***** that works in TreeHouse Properties stated otherwise. As soon as a friend of mine mentioned the BBB thats when ***** had realized her Mistake which cost me losing the home in *****. She called and Left a voicemail stating that she made the mistake and sent an email to that property management about the mistake she made. *** applied to now 3 apartments and have been denied due to ***** in TreeHouse Properties giving them False/incorrect information that I still owe $449 and still will not update my balance to $0.
