I had to bring my bike back to this shop several times and each time I was told to spend money when it was easily known that it was a defect in the manufacturing. I was not refunded for my time or the work that was unnecessarily done. I was asked to spend more money and when I wouldn't, asked to leave. I have tried to resolved with them but have been given the cold shoulder. Upon further research I have found out that this is a shop that no one goes to because of their terrible customer service and how badly they rip people off. I am still out of the money and time and was not able to ride my bike which was the sole purpose of this trip that I spent so much time on.

    Business Response

The customer did not ask for a credit from us, he went straight to his credit card company, not letting us know there was an issue.  And now has gone to the BBB.  He came in with a bike he purchased online, asked us to do work on his wheels, which we did.  We performed the labor requested and he paid for the labor as well as tubes, tape and sealant, all of which we used to convert his tires to a tubeless set up.  Days later, he took his bike to other bike shops who said his tires were defective (we would not have known this) and he got the company that he bought the bike from to credit him for the tires he had to buy to replace them (from another dealer). He wants his money back as he feels he paid for work that didn't need to be done (as the tires were defective) BUT he asked us to do this work and we did.  It's not our fault the tires ended up being defective.  We put in time, labor and parts to do as he asked.  He should be asking for money back from the company he bought the defective tires from, not us. We did the work as he requested us to do and he paid appropriately for our time, labor and parts.  If there is an issue, it is not with us, it's with the company who sold him the bike.

I am rejecting this response because:

that is not what happened. I did purchase this bike online and did bring it in to inquire as to why my tires were consistently going flat. I was told to set them up as tubeless and by ******'s and so I did and I paid for that. I then went back for several more visits to ******'s to inquire as to why the tires kept going flat, I was rebutted until my third and final visit when air was put in the tire and the tire almost burst. After diagnosing the hole found in the tire, I was told by ******'s that the tires were defective. Not another shop. The employees at Georges. I was then asked to either buy new tires or leave. I took it to another shop to have the new tires put on as I dont trust the work at ******'s. I also reached out several times but was rebutted by the employees of the store. When I was finally contacted by the owner, I was told I would be contacted again after investigating what happened. This never happened. I have only requesting the work done on the bike be credited as this was faulty and unnecessary. I feel akin to taking advantage of a new rider as I have heard countless complaints about ******'s.

    Sincerely,
