I enrolled in Boise CodeWorks ************************* program and paid $9,800 in tuition. My official start date was October 17, 2024. In December 2024, I was medically withdrawn due to the onset of a seizure disorder. This withdrawal was acknowledged by the school and formalized in mid-January with a written agreement allowing a six-month window for re-enrollment. I attempted to return in February 2025 but had to withdraw again after one week due to worsening seizures. At that time, I was already receiving treatment through ********* in Boise. After the second withdrawal, my condition escalated and I received inpatient neurological treatment at the ****************. I remain under long-term medical care and have been medically advised not to resume structured coursework. On April 29, 2025, I submitted a formal request for a tuition refund under the extraordinary circumstances clause in CodeWorks own refund policy, which permits refunds after the 10th day of instruction in qualifying cases. I attached documentation from Cleveland Clinic and followed up on May 2 and May 6. Although **** Overall, the schools owner, previously stated I was welcome to return at any time, he has not responded to any of my refund-related correspondence. The school has made no effort to address the matter or engage in resolution.I am requesting a full refund of tuition paid, less the non-refundable deposit, based on their written policy and the legal definition of extraordinary circumstances. I will be submitting a full copy of the complaint package filed with the ****************************** as supporting documentation for this BBB complaint.
