I registered for courses with Boises state over summer 2024, I am required to pay for all courses, complete them, then turn in for reimbursement. I was not able to save enough to pay all of the tuition (almost 3k) so I dropped all 3 courses. 1 of the courses, a late start, I apparently did not drop properly. A voicemail I eventually received was regarding fall registration and did not indicate that I had an outstanding balance or was still enrolled in the class. The school uses school email to communicate. I logged in to register spring, I have a balance, I cannot drop the course. It's an intro course RN-BSN. (Im an RN going for a bachelors). So I completed most of the work to make myself current in under 24 hours. I also paid the outstanding balance. I was emailed this morning, they've decided I cannot catch up on a course. So they will grade none of my work. I have to receive an F, then pay for it AGAIN and replace the grade. They also had a policy of not dropping students for non payment. That benefits no one but the school. I accept I made an error, but it is wrong they can collect my money, let me interact and turn in all this work, refuse to grade it and get paid 2x for a course. A remote online course they say im missing out on peer interaction and thats why I cannot catch up. I paid $1210.96 for tuition and $35.73 in late fees

The business contacted me and has proposed a solution that I have accepted. They have agreed to let me work in class be graded since accepting payment. They contacted me and proposed this after I notified them and said the same thing I said in my complaint.

Email exchange with Student ************************** and Admissions. Paid for official transcripts with expedited delivery in April of 2023. Was charged and not refunded. BSU refused to send transcript claiming a hold on student account. Previously set up payment arrangments that was terminated by BSU. When communication was attempted, spoke to ******************* Program Information ************ ***************** Services, Geno stated that BSU would not release my transcripts. He stated that even with a $100 deposit and a payment arrangement he still would not release my transcripts. He informed me that the $100 dollars would only prevent my account from being sent to collections. I then asked if my account was sent to collections would he then release my transcripts, he told me no because BSU wants to collect my full balance of $3,120.57. When looking at billing statement I have been making the payments via iPay with a charge. I had also already established a payment arrangement with BSU. When further questioning of my account i was told by a ****** in the office they would do an account evaluation. In summer of 2022 I withdrew from a Statistics class that I was assured by ******* (sp?) it would not reflect on my transcript nor my tuition bill. However, I have received charges that are not accurate. I also have attempted to work with BSU on behalf on myself and there ***************** Department to solve this issue, yet ******************* was and is unwilling to participate in a solution. I am filing this claim and will be filing a complaint with the board of education.
