Ext. was to handle all warranty claims; afterward, manufacturer (Alside) would handle all claims.)nature of dispute: the sliding screen door component of the sliding glass door system does not function attempts at resolution: Idaho Home Ext. has attempted twice to resolve this, even ordering a new screen door. door still does not function. i last contacted them on 11/8/2023 and was informed that they would try to contact the manufacturer directly and get back to me to finally have this properly addressed.Since then they have refused ti even return my phone calls I have also contacted the manufacturer via their warranty website and have received no response

    I hired Idaho Home Exteriors to side my new construction, it took them 6 months, they did a terrible job. My complaint is that they installed soffit vents that are all falling out. I am afraid I will be getting critters and insects moving into my attic space. Someone did come to fix them, his ladder was not high enough, he explained to me that they all needed to be cut and flared so that they stay put. I have been asking them to do this since October. For the past 2 weeks or so, I have been leaving voicemails and emails for them every day. No one is picking up the phone, or returning my calls or emails. I would like them to finish the job I have paid in full for. The vents didn't start falling out until after I paid them. The vents were the last thing they did. They are 3 inch circles, and about half of them are down, there are probably ***** of them down.

    Our home is located in *****, Idaho *****. It was built in ****, we have owned it since 2016. We needed a new roof, siding, and windows. ******************* was the representative that came to our home from Idaho Home Exteriors. He is the owner of the company, and provides all of the estimates as well. Our complaint is that his company has defrauded us, taken our money, and not completed any work to date. May of 2021 He came to our home several times to show us different products such as window samples, and color swatches for siding, soffit and fascia. On May 28th 2021 we entered into a written agreement with Val for the work on our home.His company was contracted to replace all of our windows (7 in total) which encompassed enlarging 2 of them to current fire code standards, replace the rest of the windows with the current size, build out window ***** in said windows, remove all of our old cedar shake siding, wrap the house in Tyvek or similar material, install Alsides siding around the whole house, install new aluminum soffit and fascia to match, build out the wall underneath our front window so that siding could be applied, and install stone accent with ledgestone across the front of the house in place of siding to the height of about 3'. I wrote the check on 06/22/2021in the amount of $11,782 as requested by *** via email to secure the materials. I delivered it to his office. The check cleared our account on June 23rd, 2021.Val, and his installer came to measure our house that week in June of 2021. At this time the installer then informed me a lot of the things we were promised in the contract such as removal of the siding across the whole house- he would not be able to complete. We should have known better at this point.The communication we received was from Val 8/5/21 that we would be on the schedule and it's been over a year. No work has been started or materials delivered. All attempts via email and phone to contact them have gone unanswered and our money is gone.
