I was a patient at Raise the Bottom addiction center. I was receiving methadone and was assigned a counselor, *******, to help me through my addiction. Treatment was going great. Then I was told I can no longer be a patient because of my expired ID. I read their entire handbook and directions and no where does it state I need to have a valid ID. I don't live in *****. Im from ********** and am only staying here for treatment but they cut me off cold turkey causing me to fully withdrawl from methadone and then relapse. I was told my counselor, *******, would stay in contact with me even though I can't come in anymore. She never called me once. I then called them and let them know my mother drove me all the way to ********** to get my temporary ID like they instructed only to find out there is no such thing as a temporary California id. They only give temporary driver license which I don't have. I was an established patient there. I had to give my blood, urine samples, received medicine only to be cut off when I needed help. I have my piece of paper from ********** stating my California id will be in the mail in the next 6 weeks but they still will not see me. I'm outraged. I was also paying out of pocket since I'm from ********** which was no problem. Like I stated earlier, in their intake forms and handbook, it does not say anything about expired ids.
