All purpose boot that I could have gotten off another medical sight for $25 turned into a $182.06 bill. This is high way robbery. Id give them a zero star if I could.

I was sent to these people by St. ***** Orthopedics after they basically did little to nothing for me except take some xrays and relieve me of a couple of hundred bucks. St Lukes told me that Mountain Brace Systems would custom design and fit a molded brace just for me that would alleviate my bone on bone arthritis knee pain. When Mountain Brace Systems called me to schedule an appointment, I was assured that ******** would cover the cost of this 100% AND that the brace would relieve all of my pain. Both of these statements were untrue. After wearing the brace long enough to discover it did nothing for my pain, I received a bill for $351.21 along with a letter stating that if I did not pay it by a certain date they would sell the debt to a collection agency. I am obviously not their first unhappy customer. Apparently they are aware that people don't like paying for something they were told would not cost them out of pocket AND doesn't work for them. I complained and was told to pay up or it would go to collections. In my opinion, this company is just one more bad actor in a so called "health care" system that making undeserved profits by exploiting people who are in pain.

I fractured my foot in November, 2023. Urgent Care gave me a Walking Boot with Air Pump that was supplied by Mountain Brace Systems (also knows as ******** Medical, LLC). Later I found out that this company billed my insurance $439.00! (The boot is sold on Amazon for $50 - 60.) What a rip off!
